Hi Stampers! As my title suggests - I have two things to share today - a pretty butterfly and lovely bird nest!
I made my butterfly card for the Split Coast Tuesday Teapot Challenge - this was the teapot Cindy wrote her story about. Funky huh?!
And here's the card I made - inspired by the teapot (and Cindy's story which you can see here)
And now the bird nest - I made this card for the Split Coast Color Challenge - Hostess Peggy's colors for us this week were Chocolate Chip, Baja Blue and River Rock
I stamped this wonderful LaBlanche stamp - Nest with Eggs - in Archival Coffee ink then colored it using Cut-n-Dry pen nibs and River Rock and Baja Breeze inks. LaBlanche stamps work best on LeBlanche paper. It's like glossy card stock - but not quite as glossy. I stamped the Easter Blessings from Verve directly on the patterned paper with Archival Coffee Ink.
And here's the inside - I stamped the verse in Coffee Ink and the cross in River Rock ink. The stamps are from Everlasting Life by Verve
Thanks for stopping by today!

wow all of these cards are awesome but that first one really catches my eye...so awesome...great design..
These are both gorgeous, Julia, but that LaBlanche nest makes my heart go pitter-patter! Lovely!
Julia, Thank goodness you aren't asking us to choose. The first one is a perfect take on the challenge photo. I love the red black white color combo - the butterfly is so striking. But I am a serious birder too so I'm crazy about that one too! Wonderful coloring for this natural theme and the inside with the double stamp making the cross look like a water mark - BRILLIANT!
These are beautiful Julia! I love the needle point butterfly and the nest is so organic! Gorgeous!
What beautiful cards Julia! That Nordic butterfly is so pretty and love the shading of the birds nest! Looks like Spring has sprung in Boston :)
Both cards are beautiful, Julia!!!!! Your tea party card is sooo classy with those awesome colors and beautiful butterfly!!! Love your Easter card, too...the birds nest image is so pretty and I love how you stamped the inside!!!!
Both cards are knockouts, Julia. It would be hard to pick a favorite as both rate a "10"!
Love both of your cards! The red, white and black one is stunning with the different papers and pop of reds. The color combo card is exquisite!
Oh, gosh, what gorgeous cards! I'm seeing so many made with Nordic Spring that make me want that set (as if I didn't already). The LaBlanche one I thought was a sticker or piece of clip art--it is just so perfect!
