CAS Christmas - August 2026 - Santa's Sleigh

I'm the DT Hostess for the August CAS Christmas Challenge! -  and I chose:

I stamped this beautiful sleigh from the Sleigh Bells Ring stamp set by Claire Brennan Design which is no longer in business -  she also designed and sold under Waltzingmouse. Unfortunately, the British small business taxes were too high and too many for her to stay in business. I was on her Design Team for both companies and so am fortunate to have most of the stamps she designed.

I used my Misti so all the stamps would be lined up neatly.  I cut a mask to put over the sleigh when stamping Santa's toy bag so it looks like the bag is inside the sleigh.

Once again, I made 4 of these cards while I had all the supplies out!
Into my Christmas Box 2026 they go!

We hope you will join us over at CAS Christmas and show us your Santa's Sleigh cards!

This challenge ends on Aug 31st.

Inkspirational #353 Designer Choice - Follow Yonder Star

There's a new challenge up at Inkspirational - #353  Designer's Choice -  I'm the designer this time and here's my challenge.

 I was seeing Christmas stars!

I just LOVE these Three Magi dies from Spellbinders, so much detail on each one! Their outfits and faces use the same die for each Magi, but the beards, crowns and gifts are different. I wanted to give each one a different skin tone as well.  The set also includes 3 stars. I just used the largest one in the top right corner.  Since I had all the colored card stock out - I die cut enough to make 4 cards while I was at it! (Yes, it took me a while!)

Did I say I LOVE these dies??!!

Inside, I stamped "Let the star guide your heart this Christmas" (one of the four stamps that comes with the die set.

The DP is Ink Drop - Vivid from Craft Consortium (remember when these came out a few years ago and they were all the craze? or was that just me?! It's still available - google it!).  Some of the pieces have marbling in gold which I used here.

The large star is from the Magi set - the small stars are from Honey Bee. Two of the Magi and the large star are up on foam dots.  I layered the DP over a piece of Metallic Gold paper.  My card is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

So please join us and create something for my challenge -  "Seeing Stars"!  You'll find lots of creative inspiration from the rest of the DT over at Inkspirational.

This challenge will end on Nov 7.

Cardinals on a Winter Pine

Another Christmas card for the box!

I made this for the Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers

I just purchased this lovely cardinal die and stencil set from Waffle Flower so was happy to get it out and play with it.

We are fortunate to have cardinals come to our bird feeders every evening,  so I know the male is the vibrant red and the female and young cardinals are gray/greenish with slight touches of red to protect them from predators - I googled the Cardinal Female to help me try and ink it correctly.

The die comes with a stencil to color them so it was pretty easy once I decided what colors to use!

The pine branch and cones are from an older set called Botanicals: Pine Bough from the Greetery and I actually had some branches and pine cones already cut and colored in an envelope in the die package from some I made a few years ago (yay!) so I used them.

The cardinals and pine cones are up on foam dots. And I added Ice Stickles for frosty glitter.
(boy, I haven't had Stickles out for quite a while!)

Frosty the Snowman Bunny

It's definitely time for me to be focusing on getting more Christmas cards done!  I was out of stamping commission for 3 months after having surgery for a torn rotator cuff on my right shoulder - but thanks  to physical therapy, I'm regaining movement and strength and can once again enjoy stamping sessions in the craft room!

The lovely framing was made using Punch & Pierce Plate from Spellbinders.  The stamps are all Colorado Craft.  I lightly colored with Copics.  I sponged the sky around the images. I added 3 confetti snowflakes. The frame is up on foam dots.

I'm joining in with the following Christmas challenges:
