I wanted to play along with the Color Hues Challenge and suddenly realized it's tonight or never as it ends tomorrow!
This fun little deer is Be A Reindeer Die from Waffle Flower (retired).

Spring is on its' way, in my garden and on my card! The tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths are pushing up out of the ground and will start blooming in two or three weeks!

A friend requested that I make a card for her 9 year old granddaughter, Gwen, who loves all things Disney!
Here's my DT card for the new challenge up over at Inkspirational - the challenge is Designers Choice - and Marina is asking us to use Paper Piecing.
Here's my card.
I stamped the girl and the balloon on the white card panel and on a piece of patterned paper. I fussy cut the dress, shoes and the balloon out of the patterned paper and adhered them over the image stamped on the white panel. I lightly stenciled around the images and sentiment using the Heart Struck Stencil from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous and yellow ink.
I colored her hair, skin areas and ground with Copics and added three Tuxedo Hearts. I inked around the edges of the panel with Gold Pigment ink for definition.
I haven't done any paper piecing for years - it was fun to try it out again!
We hope you'll join us over at Inkspirational, doing some paper piecing on your stamped images! You'll find beautiful DT inspiration and Mr. Linky over at the blog.
You have through 2/9 to link up!

Happy New Year everyone! It's time for the next Inkspirational Challenge which is Stencils with the option of using more than one stencil or layering stencils!
My son and DIL live in a log house on the top of a mountain and they have deer that come to the back of their home every day. The deer live all around them in the woods. So, I'm always looking for cute deer stamps/dies/sentiments to use on cards for them.
I've had this Dashing Deer Bigz Die for many years but I can't remember ever using it. I recently purchased the It's Christmas, Oh Deer stamp from Unity (it's on sale right now - just sayin') and realized, combined, they make a fun shaped card - perfect to send to my son and DIL this year!
I used the same beautiful floral cover stamp on my three card samples, Daisy Days, from Unity.
Love, love, love this stamp!
For my first card - I embossed the image on a white panel using black embossing powder. Then I sponged over the blooms with Ranger Distress Inks in Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin. I added gold to the flower centers and gold splatter over the panel using a gold Paint Marker. I also splattered with a black POSCA Pen. I trimmed down the panel and layered it over a black panel die cut with Nested Rectangle with Square Holes die from Rubbernecker.
The Flourishes challenge was to use this sketch. I used stamps from the Halloween Party set by Waltzingmouse Stamps
The Crafty Secrets World Card Making Day Challenge was to make something with dimension, to make it pop. I made a little journal book based on Lisa's tutorial here . The J in Journal, the glittery button and the inkwell are all popped up on foam dimensionals.
This World Card Making Day challenge was from Stamping Bella and we had to show what we do with our girlfriends for fun - shopping of course!
Jenn and Biate's Split Coast challenge was to use chocolate or other browns, their sketch and to make it a thank you card.
This challenge by Verve was to use the colors in a country's flag (they showed us a web site of flags) - I used blue and white which are on the flags of Greece, Israel, Honduras and Antarctica.
This World Card Making Day Challenge from Magnolia Stamps was to make an ornament. I used a Magnolia Tree for mine, decorated it with dew drops and glittered it with Dazzling Diamonds - this really sparkles IRL! not so much on my pic here!
And finally - the My Favotite Things challenge was to use pink, black, white and bling. I used silver ribbon and silver stickles for my bling.
