You're A Good Egg

I'm continuing to work on my Easter cards that I need both to mail out and to sell at our church Easter Sale.

My first card is a clean and simple design -  I adhered strips of patterned paper to a white card stock panel - then cut it with a stitched mat rectangle die and layered it over a white card stock base - easy peasy!  And it looks so Easter/Springy with the pretty papers!  The only stamping on this is the Happy Easter from the Spring Baskets set by Waltzingmouse in the bottom corner.  Then I just added some coordinated colored sequins.

I used the sketch from this week's Waltzingmouse Fanatics challenge.

My second card is a little more involved - with a patterned paper panel, a tag and some layered stampings.  The stamps are from A Good Egg by Waltzingmouse.  I used the cut files for this set to stamp the egg and banner on.  I cut the tag with Tag Sale #5 die from PTI

For my card design I used the Freshly Made Sketch

Well, we're three days into the New Year, we got at least 18" of snow last night in the first storm of the year  and I have a simple card to share that I made for two challenges!

Is anyone else out there glad to see 2013 go??  I didn't have a bad year but it was something about the number 2013 -  I had a lot of trouble writing it all year-  I'm not superstitious - not sure what it was -  but I'm really glad we have moved on to 2014!

Christmas Babies

A friend at church asked me if I could make some Christmas cards for 3 baby girls in her life.  So I started going through all my Christmas stamps to see what inspired me as cute for baby girls!

My card for 3 year old Chloe was inspired by the Cas-ology Cue Card: Ribbon challenge.

 

I just love this little gingerbread girl from Oven Fresh Gingerbread Joy - one of the first Waltzingmouse stamp sets.  I stamped her in Picked Raspberry Distress ink, colored her with a Copic and added a little gingham ribbon bow to the top of her outfit..  The sentiment is from the same set.  I stamped Chloe using the Victorian Alphabet and drew the top and bottom framing lines using a Micron Pen.

Here's what I stamped on the inside of Chloe's card.  I just love this 'You're Yummy' sentiment as I find most babies to be quite yummy!

My next cards - for Emma and Ava celebrating their FIRST Christmas -  are the same, as they are going to different families.  My design was inspired by this week's Waltzingmouse Fanatics challenge which is a sketch.

I used three Waltzingmouse Sets on this card - Twas the Night Before Christmas, Around Christmastime, and Victorian Alphabet.  I sponged the edges with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.  I popped the Santa circle up on foam dots.  The names are stamped on vellum attached with sparkle brads.
