Inkspirational Challenge #371 - Visual Prompt

The newest challenge is up over at Inkspirational.

As you can see -  I went with the lemons from the Visual Prompt!

I'm not partial to lemons (too acidic for me) and so found that all I had in my craft room on the topic of lemons, was a stamp of a glass of lemonade (which will be have to wait to be used on another day)  and the Dried Citrus Slices die from the Greetery, which I die cut and inked with Distress Inks.

They can be lemon slices or orange slices depending on the color you use!  The die cut leaves are Etched Laurel Leaves from Simon Says Stamp.  The background was embossed using Fallen Leaves EF from Sizzix.  One of the lemon slices is up on foam dots.  The sentiment strip and yellow gems are from Waffle Flower.

We'd love to see how this Visual Prompt inspires you!  Please link up your creations over at the Inkspirational Blog!

This challenge ends on 7/17.

April 2026 Card Chain Challenge Reveal

Today's the day for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal of all the cards sent and received in April.  I sent my card to Gail in Canada and received a beautiful tag-card from Dagmara in Poland!

This time I used two of the suggested themes in my card design -Long Ears and Spring!

I embossed the background and rubbed Scattered Straw ink pad over it.  I die cut the bunny pieces and sponged them with Scattered Straw and Brushed Corduroy adding a little Tattered Rose to the ears and nose and glued all the pieces together.  I  die cut the grasses (twice for more width and volume) and sponged them with Peeled Paint, adhered them to the bottom of the panel, spreading the tops out a bit so the bunny could be 'peeking' through them!  I stamped the sentiment on a white panel and adhered it across the top of the panel

We hope you will come and join us for the May Card Chain Challenge.  You'll find all the info on the challenge and how to sign up at the Card Chain Challenge blog here.

You have until May 6th to sign up!

The Healing Power of a Garden

Today I'm playing along with the Just Us Girls Challenge

I was inspired by the colors, the snail, flower stems and single blossoms!

I got out the Curio Spring Findings dies from The Greetery, that I purchased several years ago and didn't play with until today!
That's why I love challenges -  they challenge me to use my stuff!

The snails' shell has a die cut curl mark on it but it doesn't show up in the photo.  I added his eye with a Micron 01 black marker.

I stenciled the background using the Milky Way Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.   The sentiment is from Garden Sayings from Impression Obsession.

I'm also sending my card to:

Embossed Roses for Three Occasions

Today I was inspired to join in with the Color Hues Challenge.  I had this Rose Bouquet Embossing folder from Altenew out on my craft table as I used it a few days ago to make a card for a friend.  I thought it would work perfectly with the Coral/Green colors.

I embossed the white card panel and then used blender brushes to add the colors.  The sentiment is a Better Press Plate and Die set from Spellbinders.

I ended up making three cards for three different occasions.  The sponging of ink comes out differently on each card.  I start in the center where the ink will be the darkest and then brush out to the edges.

I think the Sympathy card came out with the smoothest blending of color but I like them all.

I'm sending my Birthday card to:

Inkspirational #340 - Seasonal - I Chose Summer!

I'm here today with my DT card for the Inkspirational #340 Challenge.

I'm eager for the Summer Season to arrive!

I made this card for a friend who goes to Block Island off the coast of Rhode Island every summer for two weeks so I thought he'd appreciate a beach scene on his Birthday Card.

I used a retired stamp and die set from Papertrey Ink called Fence Line Summer.

I stenciled the sky area with the Milky Way Stencil from Colorful Life Designs.

We hope you will be inspired by our Seasonal Challenge, by the rest of the DT's creations and that you will link up your creation over at the Inkspirational Blog!
