Today I'm here with a mid-month reminder of the August CAS Mix Up Card Challenge, Nancy is our hostess and her challenge is Stencil Monoprint.
Here's my card using Stencil Monoprint with Brushos, sponging with Tea Dye Distress Ink, stamping and enamel dots.
The photo below shows how I used Leaf Green and Turquoise Brushos through a stencil on the left panel spritzing with water to activate the Brushos, then made a negative print by pressing another panel over the stencil that had the watery Brushos on it, and then laid the stencil over that print and sponged Tea Dye Distress Ink over the stencil.
I used the techniques on this video: Color Burst and Stencils: by Shelby Thomas
You'll find lots of inspiration from the Design Team, and Guest Designer: Cathy (Cathy's Card Spot) as well as links to technique videos, and challenge rules over at the CAS Mix Up blog! You have until 8/24 to link up your cards!

The Brushos make a beautiful monoprint background with the bright colours. The tea dye sponged over the stencil is just the perfect colour to show off the pretty flowers. Beautiful design, Julia! Love the stencil and might have to get one for myself! xx
I love your pretty colored Brushos Stencil Monoprint background, Julia. What a creative idea to add the Tea Dye Distress Ink on the negative flowers. I need to try that, since I now have Plenty of Stencil Monoprint backgrounds:-) TFS my friend. Hugs...
Stunning brusho monoprint! I thought the flowers were gold embossed or die cut, they have so much dimension! Love this! Now, what will you do with the positive stenciled panel...?
Great idea filling in the stencil portion of the monoprint. the Tea dye really pops against the background :)
wow Julie, this is amazing, it really caught my eye in the Ink gallery. The colour mix is just perfect and how you have used the stencil really gives your card such an arty look. And to use the kraft coloured card adds a great contrast. Great to see you at Ink
What an amazing design!!! I love the background you created! The colors are gorgeous and the smaller size of the focal piece is very important!
Great use of the brushos for the stencil monoprint - I must try that. And a good idea to then sponge colour through the stencil for the actual wildflowers. A lovely card!
Great effect with the fun technique and gorgeous colours. Love how you popped the stencil back on to blend the ink through it and made the flower stems stand out so beautifully x.
You've achieved two very different looks with this stencil, Julia! Love the bright, vivid colors and how you've sponged over the stencil to color the flower on the monoprint piece! Very clever!
Gorgeous Brusho monoprint, Julia! It almost looks like Alcohol Ink effect. I love the colors you used! And what a wonderful idea to sponge over the stencil after you made the negative print! Placing the panel off the center is refreshing. Hideko xx
This looks fab ..... your colour choice is gorgeous. Thank you for playing along with the Craft Stamper challenge xx
Wow... I love this! The effect you captured in that background is fantastic and your color choices are really lovely. Thanks for playing with us at Inkspirational!

What a smart approach to the monoprinted blooms. Love that you offset the flowers to sponge, very effective. Your colour combo is very well thought out too. A CAS beauty Julia, I love it! xx
Echoing the others in being dazzled by your gorgeous background and lovely flowers. Artsy awesome! So thrilled to see your creativity in the Inkspirational gallery!
