So I have two cards to share with you tonight. I used the same designer paper on both. The first card is todays Limited Supplies Challenge on Split Coast. The theme was Silly Celebrations and we could choose from National Donut Day, National Gardening Day and National Yo Yo Day - can you tell which one I picked??!! It also fits Sharon's Stamp Simply challenge to use a solid image silhouette stamp on your card.
My theme obviously is gardening and this sentiment by Walt Whitman seemed to fit the bill - I had to look up the word odorous - and found that it is an adjective (odor is a noun) so it is describing the 'garden of beautiful flowers' in this sentiment.... a little awkwardly put - but that's poetic license I guess! The coastal flowers silhouette is actually a rub on by Me & My Big Ideas. I added the gathered ribbon and 3 bling stick ons. Both of my cards today measure 4 1/4 x 11 and are top fold cards.
Stamps: sentiment: Impression Obsession
Paper: Very Vanilla, Purely pomegranate, DP: My Minds Eye 29th St. Market
Ink: Onyx black versafine
Accessories: jewel stickers, gathered ribbon, rub ons: Coastal flowers by Me & My Big Ideas
My second card is for Beate's Weekend Sketch which I turned on it's side.
The flowers and butterfly are Stampin Up Rub ons. I used the Polka dot Cuttlebug folder on the bordering blue panel and shimmer brads by Making Memories in the corners. I sponged the edges with Bordering Blue and the panel is up on foam dimensionals. I love this lacy ribbon that is also from Making Memories.
I stamped this sentiment from the Birthday Basics PapertreyInk set on the inside of the card and also added two more Stampin Up rub ons. I like this versatile verse - it could be for a birthday or a congratulations for an achievement.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Both cards are beautiful. I have to admit, "odorous" threw me. I know that "malodorous" means stinky, so I guess the opposite would be pleasant-smelling, yes? Anyway, WW marched to the beat of a different drummer, and it is a perfect saying for your card!! Long live creativity!

Wow .. I love them both ... especially the silhouette blooms on the floral DP.
