I had a really busy weekend but just had to do the
Inspiration and
Featured Stamper Challenges on Split Coast!
Stef gave us the inspiration of Movie Dresses and I chose this picture to be inspired by (the girls from the Sex In the City movie).

I just had to make an origami dress for this challenge card - and I used this beautiful designer paper I just got from 7 Gypsies (from my shopping spree at The Papertree where I took Lauren Meader's Workshops as shown in my post below!).

I tied a satin sash around the waist and added half pearl stickers as buttons. You can find the pattern for the origami dress in a book titled: Minigami by Gay Merrill Gross published by Firefly books. I got mine at Borders but you can find it on
Amazon.com also. The Sentiment is part of a birthday set by
See D's. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the script background.
Stamps: See D's birthday set
Paper: Sage Shadow, Groovy Guava, DP: 7 Gypsies
Ink: Onyx Black Versafine, Sage Shadow
Accessories: oval punch, foam dimensionals, green satin ribbon, ticket corner punch, Crystal sticker pearls, sponge
And here is my card for the Featured Stamper Challenge.

Todays Featured Stamper is Maren (MMBC) and you really must check out her
gallery - you will be SO inspired. Every single card is a gem! The card I chose to CASE can be seen
here. When you CASE a card you need to change things. I changed the colors and stamp. I loved her simple yet stunning design. I used a great DP I just got (at the Papertree again!) by My Mind's Eye and made this a Patriotic card using non-traditional colors based on the colors of the designer paper. The sentiment by Stampendous (yes - I just bought it at Papertree! I came home with 2 bags full of stuff!) is stamped in Versamark ink and then clear embossed. For some reason I felt the need to fill the space to the left of the sentiment (!?!?!) and so added 2 cut out stars from the designer paper.
Well - once again - I'm up late and really have to hop off to bed - now that I've been able to stamp and get my cards done I can sleep KWIM??!!
Thank you so much for spending part of your day with me here!
Stamps: Stampendous
Paper: Really Rust, Mellow Moss, DP: My Minds Eye 20th St. Market
Ink: Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad
Accessories: clear embossing powder, hot gun, grosgrain ribbon, foam dimensionals.
