Spring Bunny Treat Box

For the month of March, Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team is creating projects with the theme of Spring using her Gift Box Die and her Display Stand Die.
Today I have used her Gift Box Die to make a Bunny Treat box!  The box is 3 3/4" square, plenty big for all kinds of treats!
The bunny face/ears front was made using a die from Paper Smooches that I purchased at the end of last spring season so I hadn't used it yet.  When I took it out with my other Easter supplies as I start making things for Easter, I knew it would fit perfectly on the front of Eileen's Gift box.  I used Eileen's Stitchey Flowers and Leaf die to make the pretty felt floral headdress for the bunny, adding sparkly gems to the centers of the flowers.
I cut the label piece from the Gift Box Die in two, trimming down to the scallop,s to make the bunnies' paws, coloring the toes and foot pad with a pink Copic (I probably gave her too many toes?!?).  I glued a large cotton ball on the back for her tail and adhered the larger scallop piece along the top edge of the cover so the box could be opened easily by lifting the scallop.
These are all the pieces on the die. You need to cut it twice to create the box sides so then you also have 2 label pieces and 4 scallops (one large and one small which can be layered over each other.)
I love my pretty little flowered bunny box!
Check out Eileen's blog every Wednesday in March to be inspired by the Inspiration Team's projects for Spring using the Gift Box and Display Stand dies!

Just. simply. ADORABLE! You have outdone yourself Julia. I want to make one- and just thinking- you could switch the bunny face out to other little critters and make these for baby showers, parties, etc. Love it!

That is just adorable, Julia - the smiling face and those pink felted ears had already made me smile, and then you turned it around and the pompom tail is pure genius! An Easter delight.
