The Art of God

I created this card for another challenge over at Caardvarks. This time we had to create a card without using any designer paper - only stamps.
So I used my Cornish Heritage Farms bg tree stamp and layered this wonderful sentiment by Wordsworth on top of it. I sponged the edges of the sentiment and distressed all the edges. The tree and sponging are done with Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink and the sentiment is stamped with Pitch Black Adirondack ink.

Isn't this tree background just terrific? I thought it went so well with the sentiment - the tree is just so big and fills the whole card - it reminds me always to be thankful for the beauty around us.
Thanks for checking into my blog tonight! See you tomorrow!

This is just gorgeous, Julia!! I am going to have to direct a friend of mine to SCS so I can show her this stamp!! She just purchased this bg stamp and this would be totally her!!

I am so happy for you that you won the stamping contest with your wonderful little childrens clothes cards on the line card! ( sorry - I know that is not what it is called! )

Fabulous blog! Keep it up!!

Oh, it is so very beautiful, Julia! This tree has has been a favorite of mine, but I yet to own it! I admire it so and what you've done here is amazing! It IS a great reminder of the natural beauty that surrounds us, yet is easy to overlook. Thanks for the reminder! Wonderful creation, tfs!
