Mid Month February CAS Mix Up Challenge reminder - Corrugated Cardboard

Hi friends!  I'm here with another card made for the CAS Mix Up Challenge - we're at the mid-month mark so we just wanted to remind everyone there's still time to join in!
I used stamps, corrugated cardboard, embossing and die cuts.
For this second card (see my first one here), I cut a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of corrugated cardboard box and tore off some of the top layer.
I brushed over the cardboard with a wash of white acrylic paint and water and let it dry overnight.
I die cut the PRAYER out of black card and embossed the sentiment and hand in white on black card.
I die cut a doily out of white card, adhered it on the card base and layered the corrugated cardboard piece over it.
So please join us in the February CAS Mix Up Challenge -  by creating with stamping, corrugated cardboard and your choice!  The challenge is open 'till Feb 24th! You'll find a list of choices and more inspiration from the rest of the team here
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Beautiful mix of elements Julia! Who would have thought that corrugated cardboard would be so elegant. Adding the white wash really makes it special and it fits to perfect on top of the doily. Your white embossed black sentiment border grounds the card. Awesome design, my friend! xx

I love your acrylic painted corrugated background for your die cut prayer and heat embossed sentiment. Adding your die cut doily gave your card such a nice touch of elegance too. TFS Julia and for your photo steps :-) Hugs...

Very symbolic! I love that prayer, smoothly embossed, is over the bumpy piece (like life). That's what I see anyway. Love the card!

Love the way that the colour of the CC peeks out from under the white colour wash, a super collage. :)

Love the way you tore off just some of the top layer of the corrugated cardboard and then brushed with white, letting some of the cardboard colour still show. Great contrast with the black of the sentiment. Setting it against the doily softens it all. Thanks for creating such great cards for my challenge!

Truly lovely, the softness of that white acrylic paint on your corrugated piece adds to that beautiful black sentiment. Your doily also gives it another beautiful layer. Love it :D

I love how you combined all the elements, Julia. Great idea using the whitewash on the corrugated and the doily makes a perfect background for your card.
