Hugs & Kisses Silhouette

Jovial Judi was the Featured Stamper on Split Coast last week whoo hoo Judi! Big congratulations!

I chose her Allergo sketch card to CASE because I was drawn to the silhouette stamp and the layout of the card. You have to change things when you CASE a card - so I used different colors and stamps, added a sentiment and butterfly.

My stamps are all from Rubbernecker Stamps - a lovely set called Floral Silhouette #467 and a background stamp called Bed of Roses

I added sticky pearls to the flowers, butterfly and sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

We've got a Waltzingmouse DT blog hop tomorrow - the day of Claire's release of 3 super stamp sets - Labels Three, Roses and Nestie Eggs. You will have the chance to win 2 stamp sets by leaving comments so be sure to stop by and check it out !

A Colorful Spring

I seem to be chronically late for the teaparty's lately! But here I am none-the-less and the parties are that kind that just go on and on! LOL!! This week we had to bring some color to Abner the Abdominable Snowman because he is sick to death of WHITE!

So I'm bringing along some green grass and blue sky - as well as this little penquin guy with his gravity defying Easter Basket. I figured Abner would feel at home with this ice loving creature and wouldn't feel so nervous about all the new colors he was seeing!

My card is also for Fran's Doubledog Dare Challenge to us this week - to make a 1-2-3 card - I used one ribbon, two little gems, and three designer papers!

And finally - it's for the TCP Tuesday challenge to use The Cat's Pajama's springtime stamps on your card -

Reminder: Claire is releasing 3 lovely new stamp sets on Monday - see some sneak peeks at Claire's, Anya's and Lynn's today - they'll make you want these new stamps - ya - they will!!

Happy Saturday everyone - are you stampin'???

An Unofficial Peek at the WMS New Eggs!

I've got an unofficial WMS sneak peek for you! Bonnie and Laurie are the official sneak peekers today so be sure to check out their wonderful creations!

I made this card for the Ways to Use it Challenge over on Split Coast which was to use lace on your card. And I used this weeks OCC sketch

My beautiful egg stamps and sentiment are a sneak peek of a Waltzingmouse Egg Set that will be available on Monday March 1.
Don't they have a wonderful design on them? Claire creates such beautiful patterns on her stamps! The set includes several sizes of eggs and several designs - AND they fit the brand new Spellbinders nested egg die set! Whoo Hoo!! I don't have these dies yet - so I cut out my eggs the old fashioned way with scissors (!)

And another fun surprise!! The designer paper is a brand new digital DP that Claire will have available on March 1 also. Notice how the design matches the stamps in Faux Fun Circles and Vintage Circles Small??? One of the little eggs in the new Egg set has this pattern on it also - Whoo Hoo - how matchey matchey!?!?!

To finish off my card - I used a micron pen to draw an outline, added sticky pearls to the corners and gold stickles to the eggs.
Now go check out Bonnie, Laurie and our Claire!

Yippee! it's almost the weekend!

Be sure to come by on Monday 3/1 - the WMS DT will be having a New Release Blog hop and like last month - there will be stamp sets to be won!!!
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Eggs (new release on 3/1)
Paper: white, lemon tart, lavender moon - PTI, Digi DP - Waltzingmouse (new release on 3/1)

WMS March 1 Sneak Peek!

Can you believe it's already time for more Sneak Peeks from Waltzingmouse?!? Claire has 3 delicious sets coming out on March 1 - Labels Three that I'm previewing here today - and Roses that Lisa is previewing over on her blog. The 3rd set is a cute Easter Egg set. Claire will also be previewing the sets so be sure to check it all out!

The Labels Three set comes with 7 different labels that fit the Labels Three Nestabilities - how great is that! They, of course, can also be cut out by hand very easily too!!

I used this particular label on my card because of the circles in the corners that went perfectly with the Cosmo Cricket DP. I colored in the circles as well as the edges of the label with my gold Spica pen. I stamped and cut out the shamrock from Celtic Heritage and colored the stem and edges of that with the Spica too. It adds some pretty shimmer IRL. The sketch is Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch. Click on my card to see better detail on the label.

I stamped the twill tape with a small shamrock from Irish Blessings. On the inside of my card I stamped the large shamrock again and over stamped the sentiment in eggplant ink.

The WMS design team will be previewing the new stamp sets everyday until the release on Monday - so be sure to check Claire's blog to see who's sneak peeking each day!

Now you should go check out Lisa's sneak peek of the Roses set!

We'll be doing a New Release Blog hop on Monday - there will be stamp sets to be won so be sure to stop by on March 1!!!

Stamps: Labels Three, Celtic Heritage, Irish Blessings - Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: Vintage cream - PTi, Elegant Eggplant - SU, DP Cosmo Cricket Snorkel/carbonation

A Clean and Simple Spring!

Yes- I think we are ALL ready for warm weather right about now... and the Clean and Simple challenge on Split Coast last week was Wishing for Spring!

I used several colors of Memento Tear Drop ink pads to ink up my flower stamp (all four potted flowers are on one stamp!). Then I used a brown copic to make little lines on the pots to give a little depth and a yellow and pink copic to darken the center on two of the flowers. I also used the circle from a punch for their centers.

I drew a line around the edge of my card with a Micron pen just to define the space. It's amazing how that little line adds so much don't you think?

My stamps are from the Floral Silhouette set #467 by Rubbernecker Stamps

Although my card says 'Spring'! outside my house still says "WINTER" but the snow is melting a little bit each day!

I'm so happy to see you here today!

Tomorrow I'll be having a sneak peek of a new Waltzingmouse stamp set coming out on March 1st so be sure to come by to check it out!!

Stamps: Rubber Necker - Floral Silhouette set 467
Paper: white, summer sunrise, reapberry fizz - PTI
Ink: Memento - tuxedo black, angel pink, rose bud, potters clay, cottage ivy, dandelion, tangelo
Accessories: copics: Y17, RV32, E33, micron black pen, hole punch, ruler, glue pen

"So Grateful for Your Help" said Cinderella!

Here's my card for Mo's Digital Pencil challenge # 19 - 'Clean and Simple' - to use white or cream cardstock - one of Mo's images and one ribbon - that's it! No layers. Some of the samples had sentiments so I assume it was ok to use one.

I colored the 'Cinderella' digital image with copics, stamped the sentiment and then just stapled on the ribbon! My card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4. It started out a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 but I punched some holes on the top to loop a ribbon through and it looked 'yucky'! so I cut off the top of the card! You don't want to cross me - I tell ya!!! LOL!!!

These fun challenges get posted every Thursday and you can win a free digi image! I love working with Mo's images - they are just SO sweet!

Stamps: Mo' Digital Pencil Cinderella, sentiment - Blessed by You/Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: white - PTI
Accessories: ribbon - Michaels, stapler, copics: E51E00, E04, E13, G82, YR61, YR02, R20, RV11, R29, 0

WMS Customer Blog Hop - The Theme is Spring!

Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Customer Spring themed Blog Hop! If you want to start with the first person on the hop - check out Angela here. If you get lost - you'll find links to all 52 participants on Claire's blog here.
Today I used Claire's wonderful Spring Baskets Template for my project - isn't it just divine?!?!! I stamped the zig zag from Off Beat Backgrounds around the top piece of the basket. Then I added this pretty narrow lace around all the joinings.

I white embossed one of the lacey stamps from Vintage Circles on a scalloped circle that I attached to the bottom of the basket. Finally I tied this soft as butter silk ribbon around the column and added the basket shred and yummy Lindt gold wrapped chocolate bunny to top it off! Miss Bunny came with a bright red ribbon around her neck - so I swapped it out for this soft pink chennile one!
We hope you'll leave some love along the way as you hop to let everyone know you've enjoyed this glimpse into spring time!
Next stop on the hop is Jennifer!

My Door is Always Open!

Another fun inspiring web site called Lark for the Inspiration challenge over at Split Coast today. I chose one of Stef's samples - this cute cuckoo clock for my inspiration. I loved the bright colors and fanciful look of it! I made my round card with a scalloped circle nestability, sponged the edges with ink and sponged my clouds with my home made cloud template. See my tutorial on making clouds here.My house, flower and sentiment are from the Sewing Box Hugs stamp set by Waltzingmouse Stamps I stamped both the house and flower multiple times on different colors of Bitty Box Basics DP by PTI, cut out the pieces and layered them with foam dimensionals for a fun paper tole look.

An Orange Spring!

I very rarely, if ever (!), use orange - but that was the Ways to Use It challenge on Split Coast this week - and I guess that's what challenges are for right??!! to make you do something you don't usually do!

And it sure does pack a punch doesn't it?!?!

I made one of these wonderful layered flowers with an orange flowered DP from PTI. After I got the flower together I realized that the white on the back of the DP showed here and there so I sponged it a little with orange ink.

I dry embossed a nestie frame in the middle of the panel then embossed this pretty basket from the Spring Baskets set by Waltzingmouse Stamps using white embossing powder.

I clustered the sticky pearls in the corners then connected them with a white gel pen. I sponged the edges and over the embossed frame a little with tea dye distress ink just to tone it down a little bit.

This is also for an inspiration challenge I found over at the Stamping Around blog. I was inspired by the basket of pretty roses.

Are you planning on joining in on the Waltzingmouse Blog hop on Monday? If you are - hop on over right now to sign up on Mr. Linky!!

I chose this masculine sympathy card . I changed the colors, used different stamps and made it a happy shopping card!

This is Patience on my card today - she loves her kitty SO much - she just wants to pick her up and squeeze her!!! I want to squeeze both of them!! LOL!!

Inspired by Artwork

My good friend Anne Harada was hosting the Inspiration challenge over on Split Coast this week. Whoo Hoo Anne! I was away all day but just had to participate after I saw all the wonderful inspirations on Geninne's Art Store site. I was actually inspired to make two cards.

My first card was inspired by this tree and bird printMy stamps are from two Waltzingmouse Stamp sets. Everything is embossed with white embossing powder. The circles on the tree are made by a hole punch and the bird is up on foam dimensionals. What pretty art work on this site Anne!
ETA: I'm also entering this into the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge this week to use red!
Stamps: Blessed by You, Celtic Heritage - Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: white, terre cotta tile, smokey shadow - PTI
Accessories: foam dimensionals, white EP, hot gun, rhinestones - PTI, hole punch

This 2nd card was inspired by this flower and hummingbird print. My stamps are from Spring Baskets and Off Beat Backgrounds. I cut around some of the leaves with an exacto knife and lifted them up for a little dimension. I added buttons to the flower centers. The stitching around the yellow frame is actually a background stamp - I love how it looks like real stitching!

I added a little bit of yellow stickles to the wings of the cute bees for a little touch of shimmer!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'm so excited to be having Monday (President's Day in the US) off from work - an extra day for stamping!

You're Eggstra Special!

I made this card for the sketch challenge on Split Coast this week. I took a little liberty with it by not lining up my eggs in a straight column and I also added a ribbon.

My eggs and sentiment are from a pretty new set called Spring Baskets from Waltzingmouse Stamps .

The eggs are paper pieced and then colored a little with Copics. I used pinking circle nestabilities for the shape the eggs are layered on and I popped them up on foam dimensionals.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Let's Eat !

Every Tuesday one of the Design Team of TCP (The Cat's Pajamas) issues a challenge and this week Amy Rohl's challenge was to use paper piecing on your card.

I don't have my newly won A Beary Good Year set yet (see yesterday's post!) - so I used this cute dining penquin from the Gobble it Up set, paperpiecing the table cloth.

I used Labels Eight Nestabilities to frame him and my Top Note by SU (cut in half) for the background piece. The designer paper is Cosmo Cricket/Earth Notes. I used my Scor Pal to make a double frame around the edge and sponged it with Ranger Tea Dye Distress ink. Then I just stamped my sentiment and added the button knotted with twine!

Check out the challenge and load up yours here before the end of Feb. Maybe you'll be chosen the Swanky Stamper of the month - uh -- oh no - I'm going to be chosen Swanky Stamper of the month - forget I mentioned the contest ! LOL!!!

Frame the Baby

The Limited Supplies challenge on Split Coast was to frame a project. I went into my attic to the 'frame box' and found these cute little (2x3) blue and pink ceramic frames that I bought for $1 each about oh..... 10 years ago?!? and I thought - boy it's time to use these pretty little things!!
I just love this swaddled baby stamp from the Celtic Heritage set by Waltzingmouse Stamps and it fit perfectly into the framed area - then I simply stamped the 'Welcome' sentiment across the body. Sweet and simple!

Moxie Fab Taintor-fied Tin!

There's a fun challenge going on over at Moxiefab World to use a vintage image and team it with a sassy sentiment. I altered a tin rather than making a card.
Well - I just happened to have this Home Spun Cotton Scrap from Crafty Secrets with the vintage image and sassy sentiment already together for me!
I re-purposed a small candy tin I had received for Christmas by covering it with this fun Basic Grey Nook & Pantry/beaters DP. I cut two panels with Nestabilities (Labels Eight and Labels Four)and layered them with the cotton scrap to the front of the tin. Then I added some pretty lace I had around the edge of the cover and along the bottom of the tin. Finally - I sponged all over everything with Ranger Tea Dye Distress ink to make it look like it was really old.

I made a layered flower using the same DP to put on the cover with a couple of Prima Artful leaves.

Here's a view of the whole tin. This really looks like something out of grandma's kitchen cabinet - don't you think?!
Did you participate in the Waltzingmouse Blog hop yet? There are two stamp sets from the new release up for grabs ! You have until Sunday night 2/7 at 11:59 pm EST to leave your comments - check it out here!!
Thanks for coming by today!

A Birthday Flower

I just love these little bucket purses of Mel's. Making one of these was the Try a New Technique challenge over at Split Coast this week. I made mine out of designer paper.

I also made this beautiful flower out of the same DP.

You can find the tutorial for the flower here on Mercy's blog.

I cut the stem with a sizzix die from the same DP (back side).

The sentiment is from Say it With Style and the frame is from Very Vintage Labels No 4 - both from Waltzingmouse Stamps All the frames in the set fit Labels Four Nestabilities.

I am the hostess for the Doubledog Dare Challenge on Split Coast this week and this is my challenge - to make one of these great flowers and use it on a card or project. No scallop circle punch or die??? -you can make any kind of layered flower - it just can't be a pre-made flower - ok?! We hope you'll join along with the DDC challenges - just put DDC in the keywords when you load your project on Split Coast!

The flowers are really easy to make and they come out great - I hope you give them a try! Wouldn't this make a nice little Birthday present holder for someone?!?

Reminder: Claire is previewing 4 new stamp sets this week until the release on Thursday - so check out her blog - she'll tell you which DT members are doing previews!

And we're having a fun blog hop on Thursday afternoon when the sets are released and there are stamp sets to be won!!! so be sure to come by then!

A Golden Tree of Love

This week Nichole (butterfly ears) was the featured stamper over on Split Coast. I cased her pretty fruity Friday topiary card .

I knew this roses topiary from Rubbernecker Stamps would be perfect as a substitute for her fruit tree. I embossed both the topiary and the hearts background with gold EP. I colored the image with Copics. I used the Top Note die to cut the hearts background. Several of the layers are up on foam dimensionals.

Faith Is...... a Waltzingmouse Sneak Peek!

I'm so excited about Claire's 4 new Waltzingmouse sets coming out this Thursday that I had to make 2 sneak peeks for you today!

I've used stamps from 2 of the new sets as well as some images from older sets so I'll identify where they come from as we go along!Don't you just LOVE the detail on this beautiful basket? I colored it with 3 different shades of brown copics so you could see the intricate design on it! This new set called Spring Baskets comes with several different 'things' you can put in your basket - I used the eggs today (which I paper pieced) since it went along with the sentiment I chose - 'Faith is putting all your eggs in God's basket' - isn't that a wonderful thought?!

The lovely Celtic Cross is from an older set called Celtic Heritage. I stamped it in brown and then colored the pattern in with a lighter brown Copic. I stitched around the edges of my card with my Janome sewing machine. I used Taylor's sketch for my design.

On the inside of my card I used a wonderful circle stamp from one of the new sets called Vintage Circles Small. The sentiment is from the new Spring Baskets set. I made the lacey panel using a Martha Stewart punch I just got.

Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Cross/Celtic Heritage, Basket & Eggs & Sentiments/Spring Baskets, Circle frame/Vintage Circles Small
Paper: white, Spring Moss, Plum Pudding, DP/Bity Baby Blessings, Pretty Pastels -all PTI
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Dark Chocolate & Spring Moss - PTI
Accessories: Copics, E33, E35, E37, G20, Janome Sewing machine, martha stewart punch, square and Circle nestabilities, dew drops, glue dots, foam dimensionals
For my second card I took one of the egg stamps from Spring Baskets and used it as a balloon instead! As soon as I saw it I thought the lines on it looked very similar to a hot air balloon - and that made me think Birthday Card! LOL! (yes, weird brain - I know!)
This Basic Grey designer paper (Cupcake) is so fun for party cards! I paper pieced the 'balloons' popping them up on foam dimensionals and outlined the strings and balloons with a very light blue copic (BG10) The sentiment is from an older set Celtic Heritage. I think this makes a great masculine card, don't you?!? Fun but not too accessorized!!!
On the inside of this card - I adhered a 1" panel of designer paper to the top and bottom - stamping this verse from the older set Irish Blessings in the middle - leaving some room beneath for my salutation!
I hope you have enjoyed my sneak peeks and that they have inspired you!
Starting yesterday (did you miss it?!?) two DT members are showing sneak peeks every day until the reveal on Thursday -check my side bar for links to the DT's blogs!
