An Inspired Easter Basket

Well - we woke up today to find the storm over and the sun was shining brightly on all the newly fallen snow! My husband had to go out again and shovel up what had fallen after he came in last night. I was inside cleaning the house as I had my sister and brother-in-law and my college room mate and her husband over for dinner this evening.

I did allow myself 2 hours to work on my card for the SCS inspiration challenge before the company came!

Todays inspiration piece was a colorful scene from Country Living Magazine seen here.

I was inspired to make an Easter card - using a Bazzill green for the basket which is like the refrigerator - a brown plaid DP which is like the floor, a band of twill which is like the floor board - and piles of eggs - sort of like the piles of pillows and boxes.

I used Sizzix dies for the basket and eggs. I stamped on the eggs with a few cute Easter stamps I have and colored with my Prismacolor markers. The basket and two of the eggs are up on dimensionals. I layered the eggs on the basket the way I wanted them - then flipped it all over and taped them together to hold them in place.

The ribbon has a piece of silvercording in with it and I attached it to the basket handle with a glue dot.

A fun little Easter card with an old fashioned kind of Easter Basket on it!

oh, how darling! Good for you for getting this time to create your inspiration challenge card! Even with your bustling schedule, you manage to find the time to create, share and inspire (I didn't find the time yesterday, boo-hoo). I love this basket full of bright Easter eggs! Very cheerful and happy! Love it, tfs!
