Inspired by the Blue Carrot Shop

There were so many fun nostalgic items on The Blue Carrot Shop , (the Inspiration Challenge over on Split Coast this past Saturday) I was inspired to make two projects!

First I saw these cute peanut treat bags and thought it would be fun to make some of my own.I used a new label stamp from Rescue Remedies by Waltzingmouse Stamps for my bags. I just stamped right on the bag using Blazing Red Stazon Ink (other inks will smear on these waxy bags - How do I know that??!)Then I die cut a little Sizzix tag and stamped it with Get Well from Fancy Phrases and threaded a ribbon through it.
These will make nice little treats to drop off to a friend or relative that's not feeling well don't you think?? And they are quick and simple to create!

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps - Rescue Remedies, Fancy Phrases
Paper: glassine bags - PTI
Ink: Blazing red Stazon, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Sizzix tag die/Tag Scallop Combo, satin ribbon - PTI
Then I came upon these fun Arizona beverage glasses.

Which inspired me to make this little tag!

My stamps are a sneak peek of Southwest Cowboy by Mark's Finest Papers that will be released July 13th.

The tag is cut with a Sizzix die. I punched a circle on a piece of Eclipse masking tape - layed it on the card and sponged the sun/moon over the top of the cactus.

I spritzed the tag with gold Perfect Pearls mixed with water in a mini mister - it has a shimmer IRL that doesn't show at all here!

The sentiment is just a portion of the sentiment included in the set - but I just inked up this part, punched it out and layered it over the cactus with foam dimensionals.

I hope you like my inspired projects today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamps: Mark's Finest Papers - Soutwest Cowboy - July release
Paper: rustic white PTI
Ink: Ranger Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Tea Dye, Blue Bayou - SU
Accessories: tag - Sizzix die/tag scallop combo, modern label punch - SU, ribbon - MFP, gold perfect pearls, mini mister - Ranger, foam dimensionals, Eclipse masking tape, hemp - SU

Doggone Great!

Well - I'm bringing along this doggie to the Split Coast tea party this week - he's very unhappy that I plopped this party hat on his head and tied it around his ears... and he absolutely refused to wear the spots I was going to put on him - so I had to just surround him with them instead.

The colors are this weeks SCS color challenge.

Here's the inside of my card. Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you can come by on Saturday - I'll have my WMS sketch challenge card as well as Speedy the Cats' Friends Challenge card - a busy day for sure!

Three from Split Coast

This weeks inspiration challenge over at Split Coast came from the Oompa Toy Store web site. I went with this green lunchbox

I stamped and over stamped a weed and floral stamp from Rubbernecker using two colors of green. I used the mesh embossing folder on my back panel and sponged everthing with Tea Dye ink. I paper pierced around 3 edges of the image panel and added a little bling to the corners.

For my sentiment - I used a piece of a panel I cut with Labels One Nestabilities.

Stamps: Rubbernecker: Florals #496-03, Weeds #497-14, Sentiment/Floral Silhouette #467
Paper: Ripe Avocado, Rustic White, Spring Moss - PTI
Ink: Ranger Distressed Tea Dye, Adirondack Lettuce & Willow, Brilliance Moonlight White
Accessories: Rhinestones - Kaiser, Paper piercer & pad - SU, Mesh Cuttlebug embossing folder, ink sponge applicator - Ranger, Twill ribbon - PTI, Labels One Nestabilities
Techniques: dry embossing, sponging

Today's CAS challenge was to choose a cake from Carries Cakes web site for inspiration. I chose this blue pyramid cake

Here's what I stamped on the inside of my card. The sentiment is from Celtic Heritage.
Boy, what gorgeous cakes on this site!

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps - Victorian Fripperie, Celtic Heritage
Paper: White, Hawaiian shores - PTI, DP Free digi paper - Sugar Plum Paper Daisies
Ink: Adirondack Espresso, Taken with Teal - SU
Accessories: adhesive paper ribbon - K&Co, Sticky Pearls, corner rounder punch, foam dimensionals

My third card is from the Try a New Technique challenge which was to make a flower (not just using a flower punch).
I made my flower using 4 scalloped circles that I sponged with Tea Dye ink and then crumpled up. I opened them up and attached a big black brad in the center (it has a reflection spot on it in the pic). I used the same DP for the flower as I used for the bg paper.
My stamps are from Fancy Phrases by Waltzingmouse Stamps I made this flower before using 12 scalloped circles but you would never ever be able to mail a card with that thick of a flower on it!! Using just 4 circles is thin enough to mail (although it will squish I'm sure!)
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Fancy Phrases
Paper: White - PTI, black - SU, DP Unknown
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger distress Tea Dye
Accessories: prima artful flowers, glue dots, foam dimensionals, sponge applicator - Ranger, scallop circle punch - SU, large brad - American Crafts Elements
