Gosh - summer is over! We had either weeks of rain or weeks of heat waves here in MA - either way I spent a lot of time inside - but I did get a lot of crafting and reading of books done!
So now it's time for the September CAS Christmas Challenge with Colleen as our creative hostess. She would like us to use PLAID this month.
And here's my card:
I die cut a pair of mittens from Poppy Stamps out of a piece of buffalo plaid DP. I lightly stenciled snow flakes with Speckled Egg Distress Ink. I die cut the Merry Christmas out of white to help keep the CAS look and die cut the panel with Crimped Frames from The Greetery.
The mitten die has the mittens on a long string coming out on each side of the cuffs on the mittens but I cut that part off as I wanted just the mittens looped to each other.

What a lovely pair of buffalo plaid mittens, Julia! The soft snowflake backdrop is perfect, and the white-on-white die-cut sentiment keeps the card CAS and the focus on the mittens. The long string surgery worked well! The shorter loop looks so cute!

A fabulous CAS design! Love the snowflake stencilling and the way it fades out. And the plaid mittens are adorable. Great idea to have the sentiment die cut in white so that it doesn't detract from the mittens.
