Eileen Hull's New Sizzix Dies - Book Club - Chapter 2

Today I have 2 cards to share that I made using various new dies from Eileen Hull's new Sizzix collection-  Book Club - Chapter 2 which is available now at local retailers and will be available at Sizzix on July 5th!
(along with some dies from her Book Club Chapter 1 release!)
I die cut the flower panel from Eileen's new Journaling Cards, Flowers and Leaves out of white card stock - then colored the panel by shaking Green Man Infusions from PaperArtsy over it and then spritzing with water.  After it dried, I adhered it to a piece of birch tree wrapping paper (from Pier 1) layered that to a Hawaiian Shores panel and then onto a white card base.
I added enamel dots to the centers of the biggest flower cut outs.  I layered the birthday sentient over the panel with foam dots.
For my Valentine's card I die cut the hearts panel using Eileen's new Journaling Cards - Hearts dies.  I layered it over a piece of gingham from her Heartfelt Paper Pad on foam dots.
The floral arch and 'friend' are from Eileen's Floral Arch and Words die set and the sentiment was stamped on a label from her new Book Plate Hinge and Label set.  I die cut the 'friend' 3 times and adhered them together just to give them more dimension when I popped it up on the panel.
I colored the small hearts by pressing them into my ink pad.  All the die cuts are layered with foam dots so the design is very dimensional!
These fun new dies are available now at  your local retailers and will be available from Sizzix on July 5th!
The Inspiration Team will be showing projects using Eileen's new Book Club -Chapter 2 dies all this month over at Eileen's blog so be sure to check it out!

love the wrapping paper background, such a great idea. I love the distressed effect on your first card and the summery gingham on the second :)

Great "book" cards, Julia! Love how you've used the birch tree paper and flowers on the first and the youthful, fun gingham and hearts of the second!

Two fantastic cards Julia! LOVE the birch paper and looks amazing as the background for the die-cut flower card front. The colours from the infusions is gorgeous ... especially with the little hits of turquoise. Awesome!

Your Valentine's Day card is ADORABLE! Gingham ... you gotta love it! Another wonderful die with the heart cutouts. So sweet! xx

What wonderful contrast between your two cards - the dark natural look of the first and the girly pink of the second! Equally lovely and a great demonstration of your range of talent!
