Holly Snow Globe

I was excited to see the latest Merry Monday Challenge - to Use Holly
(aren't these beautiful table decorations??!!!)
My all time favorite holly stamp and dies are from Waltzingmouse -  Festive Foliage and Holly Sprig Die set.  And the beautiful inspiration photo with the holly in round water filled vases made me think of my Memory Box  Snow Globe die! (which may be retired as I could not find it on their site)
(Avery Elle has one here and MFT has one here -  or you could just punch a circle and cut your own base to make a snow globe)
I die cut the holly and berries, stamping them in two different shades of green.  I layered the berries over the holly with foam dots.  I adhered one of the holly flat onto the card base and I used foam dots on the 2nd holly to give the feeling of depth inside the globe.   I die cut the snow globe out of blue card stock and the base out of black, embossing the sentiment on the base with white embossing powder.  I die cut a circle of acetate using a circle Nestability slightly larger than the opening of the snow globe and glued it to the back of the opening.
I layered the blue over the card base using thick foam dots so it held it above the raised holly.
There are just a couple of days left for the Merry Monday Challenge so if you are inspired better get cracking!

I'm also linking this to the Happy Stampers September  Christmas Challenge -  Holly

Stamps:  Festive Foliage - Waltzingmouse
Paper:  White, True Black, Blueberry Sky - PTI,  clear acetate from stash
Ink:  Simply Chartreuse, Pure Poppy, New Leaf - PTI, Versamark
