I purchased this awesome On the Corner sign die along with the coordinating stamps from Neat N Tangled quite some time ago after being inspired by several cards I saw in blog land using them. As with so many things I buy - I put them away in my craft room and there they stayed hidden! Today, finally, I'm using them on a card!
I die cut a rectangle and circle with my Lil Inker Stitched Mat dies. (I cut the partial circle by first cutting a rectangle and then placing the circle over the edge of the rectangle so the flat edge had the stitching on it too) I made randomly spaced score lines on the panel with my ScorPal, blocked off areas with Eclipse tape and then sponged colors onto the panel with Distress Inks. I did the scoring to give the illusion of barnboard on the background.
I colored the sign post using two shades of silver glitter pens - you can see the two shades here but not the subtle glitter effect.
And what prompted me to get out this fun stamp set and die you ask? (yes, I heard you ask!) - well it was this weeks Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge:
