Creations by AR - November Release - Stuffed Stocking and Pop Up Frosty

Welcome to the November Release Creations by AR blog hop!  Today the Design Team is sharing two new templates that Adela has made to inspire our holiday celebrations!  Stuffed Stocking and Pop up Frosty!
As always - I have lots of photos to share so let's get to it!

First is my Stuffed Stocking creation -  called 'stuffed' because you can open the top as well as the toe to hide gifts in!  How clever is that?!
Here are views of all 4 sides -  I embossed the toes, heels and cover with Square Lattice Embossing folder from SU.  The stars and sentiment squares are cut with Nestabilities.

The sentiment stamps are from Waltzingmouse.

As a free gift until Nov 30th  - Adela will include in your order the cut file for this pretty holiday wreath. It would look great decorating the stocking but I layered two of them together and adhered them to a circle to make a gift tag.  I folded up the leaves on the top layer of wreath to add dimension and added the sentiment circle and yarn tie.  The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse.
My color and design choices were inspired by these burlap stockings that I saw in the Home Decorators catalog

And here's my version of the sweet Pop Up Frosty card and coordinating envelope.  I decided to go with a white and blue color scheme which really says winter to me!   Let's start at the beginning
Here's the outside of the envelope:
Frosty's chin slips into a slit above his scarf to hold the envelope closed.
Here's the card tucked inside - I used one of Adela's snowflakes to decorate the front - a whole set of them will be free with purchase until Nov 30th.  The stamps I used are In the Meadow from PTI.
I cut my card in white cardstock - then layered this pretty snowfall patterned paper over the outside and half of the inside - I used the same paper for the envelope.  The sentiments are stamped on die cut sentiment strips from MFT - I used Soft Stone card stock so it didn't get lost against the white snowflake.
And here's the wonderful 'pop up' when you open the card!  There's a little slot where you can tuck a gift card (like this wonderfully coordinated Starbuck's card!)  or you could put a photo there.  I used another one of Adela's snow flakes behind the gift card. This sweet little card measures 4.38" x 3.25" a little smaller than a regular A2 card!
Here's a pic with the card removed and you can see the beautiful snowflake better.  Since I had white on white here -  I used some gray chalk on the edges of the presents and Frosty and a little on the "meadow' in front of Frosty so you could see a little definition!  I used black rhinestones for Frosty's eyes.
So there you go -  two really fun winter holiday templates!

Oh Julia, I love how easy Adela's templates can be put together and you have done a fabulous job with them. Loved how you used the holiday wreath to turn it into a tag die. My fave though is the pop up card! Love how the face opens up for the outside and love how you added some gray to the snowman and sleigh:-)

Loved the stars on the stocking! I am really enjoying the pop up card and how much it adds to the card. It really makes the card "pop"!

Sweet stocking Julia and I love the added snowflake design on the pop up card. Making the snowflake into a tag is a terrific idea too!

Julia your stocking is so elegant with the colors you chose to make it in. Like the embossing also.
Love your pop up card using the snowfall paper and his blue attire as it is my favorite color. So cute how you made his chin help to keep envelope closed!
