Day 3 - WMS Sneak Peek - Sheriff, Cabin Plaid, Half Pint Heroes Additions

If you are looking for my Creations by AR blog hop post - please check here.

Well - we've made it to Day 3 of the Waltzingmouse Sneak Peeks!  Tomorrow will be the New Release and you will be able to purchase all of the new sets! whoot whoot!!!

Today we are peeking at 3 new sets - Cabin Plaid, Half Pint Heroes - Additions (you remember last year's curte Half Pint Heroes, right?!) and Sheriff!

Sheriff is a little Western Cowboy stamp set with a big Sherrif's star badge and two sentiments - For my first project, I decorated a mirror using the badge with one of the sentiments and some stamps from last years' western sets, Way Out West and Back in the Saddle.
I didn't realize how hard it would be to take a picture of a mirror without a reflection of the other side of the room in it or bright flares from the lights!!  I hope you get a good idea of how really cute this would be for a little cowboy or cowgirls' bedroom!  I purchased this silver framed 10"x12" mirror at the dollar store - what a deal!

Here's the sheriff's badge stamped with London Fog ink.  I stamped "Sheriff " on Basic Grey card stock, punched it with a circle punch and layered it over the badge.  Then I added silver pearls and adhered it with Scor Tape in the top corner of the mirror.

I cut a white panel ~9 1/2" x 2" for along the bottom, stamping the desert landscape from Way Out West in London Fog and Gray Flannel.  The horse riding cowboy, the sentiment and the wanted poster (with the center cut out so the viewer sees that they are 'WANTED' !) are from Back in the Saddle. Now I hope one of my little grand nephews gets into Cowboys and I'll have a gift all ready for him!

I made this card for one of the Hope You Can Cling to Challenges on Split Coast (There was a challenge every day in Oct and we're sending all our cards to the Anderson Cancer Center in TX for patients and visitors to use)  This challenge was to use cork on your card.  The badge is from Sheriff and the Bless Your Heart is from Yonder Star that was peeked on Tuesday)

Next I made a card using the Cabin Plaid background stamped in yellow.  The 'Festive Greetings' sentiment is from yesterday's peeked set, Compliments of the Season - Two, and the beautiful star is from the first day of peeks set - Yonder Star.  These sets work so well together, don't you think?!

Note: For all the new large background stamps - Claire recommends placing the stamp face up on a large acrylic block, inking it up, and then laying the card stock over the stamp rubbing all over the back of the card stock with your fingers to get the best results.
Here's the inside of my card using the same inks as the front, Cantaloupe and Nautical Blue.  These stamps are both from Yonder Star.  This card is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"
And my final contribution today - is a fun little card using Half Pint Heroes - Additions.  You remember Half Pint Heroes right?!  This little set of 2 images and several sentiments is an ADDITION to that set!   I also used the Cabin Plaid background stamp on the two panels here..

Tomorrow we will be peeking one more set for the release (it's a real cutie!!) and it's also New Release Day!

We'll be here at 2:00 pm EST with our posts so Claire has time to reset the store with the new stamps - be sure to have your wish list handy!  We will be having a DT Blog Waltz and you could win a stamp set of your choice!

Off we go for more inspiration one more time at the rest of the Design Team blogs!

Wow...you have really been creating up a storm (no pun intended). Love the mirror idea and how very clever it is.

Your other cards do such a wonderful job of showcasing the great versatility of these stamps. Fabulous job today (and ever day!)

Julia - this is a terrific set of cards. I love the cork and star on your Bless your Heart card. And the plaid background looks just super with the star! As for the mirror - love it!

Oh my, I love them all...I can't pick a favourite! Maybe the sherrif badge that is not used as a sherrif badge...except the southern US girls would have a laugh at the saying...Bless your heart in the south is not always a compliment!!!
