Love in a Bag

I've got two more Valentine's to share with you today (still building up my stash for the Valentine Sale at my church).  One's a treat bag and one is a card.
I made my card using the sketch for a new challenge I just found -  Stamplorations -  they have bi-weekly sketch challenges and a monthly challenge.
I used two different tags and a love word die from PTI.  The white tag is embossed with the Hugs and Kisses Coverup from MFT.  Here is the challenge sketch.
My next project is a Valentine Treat bag
I used a pretty 4"x5" organza bag from Pouch Mart.  The doily was made using an Eyelet Circle Nestability.  I stamped and cut out the heart from My Heart by WMS.  The sentiment is from Sweethearts by WMS stamped on a stitched flag die from Lil' Inker Designs.

I'm entering my little treat bag in two challenges:

Waltzingmouse Fanatics - to use Fabric (I used an organza bag)

Curtain Call - Love Letter Inspiration photo (inspired by the doily and heart packaging)

Fusion Card Challenge Jan 16th

Time for another Thursday  Fusion Challenge!  Don't you just love this photo?  And the sketch is fabulous as well!
I focused on the flowers and the woodgrain background with a little nod to the sketch in the placement of the flowers and sentiment!  I white embossed the woodgrain background from Waltzingmouse on chocolate card stock. I love how it came out!
I've had these lovely paper flowers from Prima for ages and I was so happy to use them here - aren't they pretty?!  To get the touch of black in - I added punched ferns around the blooms.
I stamped my sentiment from WPlus9 on a Sentiment Strip from MFT layering it over a piece of ric rac with foam tape.
Here are the links to the rest of the talented Fusion Design Team where you will find more wonderful inspiration for this weeks' challenge!

You Are My Heart

Today I have a card to share that I made as a Valentine (it says Happy Valentine's Day inside) but it could also be used as an Anniversary card or a Birthday card by stamping a different sentiment inside.

I just love these feathers from the Waltzingmouse set Funky Feathers - notice the little curlys at the tops - that's a separate stamp.  I paired the feathers with a sentiment from Hearts Squared by Papertrey Ink.  Then I simply added some Winter Blend sequins from Avery Elle (some are clear and some are white!).  The white panel is popped up on foam dots.  I also adhered a white panel inside since it's a black card base.

I used the Cas(e) this Sketch for my card design.  I really went pretty literal this time using the feathers like the inspiration.
ETA:  I'm also entering this in the Stamplorations challenge - Feathers.

Stamps:  Funky Feathers - Waltzingmouse, You are My Heart from Hearts Squared - PTI
Paper:  White, True Black - PTI
Ink:  Archival Jet Black, Ranger Distress Barn Red.

Seize the Valentine

Here's another of the Valentine's I'm madly creating for our sale at church in February (see my last two posts if you've missed them!)
For this card I used Waltzingmouse Stamps -  the two hearts are from the set My Heart and the banner stamp is from the set Woodgrain.  I die cut the white panel with a Tipped Tops die from PTI.  The two hearts are popped up on foam dots and I added 3 red rhinestones.

I used the Seize the Sketch for my design today.
Stamps:  Waltzingmouse - Woodgrain and My Heart
Paper:  White, Pure Poppy - PTI
Ink:  Ranger Distress Fired Brick, Archival Jet Black
Accessories:  Tipped Tops Die - PTI, foam tape, rhinestones - Michaels

Love Squared

I'm in a craze of creating Valentine's for a sale at my church early in February so I'm checking out all the blog challenges for inspiration.
I just got some new things from the latest Papertrey Ink release - the Wonderful Words Love Die and the pretty heart frame  from the mini set Hearts Squared.  The chevron stamp is from Woodgrain set from Waltzingmouse.

I used the Freshly Made Sketch for  my design.
You'll be seeing more Valentines over the next few days!

I'm so glad the weekend is here!  Saturday night Kent and I are babysitting our grandnephew, 2 3/4 year old  James.  This is his class photo this year from daycare.  How cute is this?!  I think this is actually a photo for a jeans advertisement (!)
His parents are going out to dinner, attending a swing dance class, and then dancing to a swing band, Eight to the Bar,  for the evening! How fun is that?!   Kent and I will be watching the Patriots game at their house until they get home -  GO Pats!!!

Stamps:  Woodgrain  - Waltzingmouse, Heart Squared - Papertrey Ink
Paper:  white, true black - PTI
Ink:  Ranger Distress Fired Brick
Accessories:  foam dots, black rhinestones - Kaiser, Wonderful words Love die - PTI

Blue Snow

I'm so excited to share my card today.   I love how it came out.  My design was inspired by my friend and fellow WMS DT member, Kelly's card
I used the alps stamp from the Waltzingmouse Alpine Christmas stamp set - stamping it on two panels and using the coordinating die from WMS.  I layered the panels over each other with foam tape.  The SNOW is a PTI die and the snowflake is a plastic button that I cut the shank off of.

Here you can see how the panels are layered - foam dots near the top to separate the peaks and just adhesive near the bottom so it's flat.
I'm entering my card in the Less is More challenge - Winter Blues
the CAS challenge on Splitcoast - Snowflakes
and Addicted to CAS - code word Die Cuts

Stamps: Alpine Christmas - Waltzingmouse
Paper: white - PTI, Dress Blues - Coredinations Canvas Texture
Paper Size: 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"
Ink: Ranger Distress Chipped Sapphire and Faded Jeans
Accessories: mountain die - Alpine Christmas/Waltzingmouse, plastic snowflake button - Joanne's, thick glue dot, foam dots, snow die - PTI
