You're in My Thoughts to Get Well Soon

I have two cards to share with you today.

TheresaCC was the Featured Stamper over on Split Coast this week. I chose her Happy Spring card to CASE. I used different stamps, stamped my backgrounds instead of using DP, used a different edge punch and changed the sentiment but despite all these changes - it looks very much like her card!

My stamps are all by Rubbernecker Stamps The background layer is Victorian Damask, the middle layer is a daisy floral that I inked with 3 different colors, and the hat is from the Fashion Icon set. The sentiment is from Petite Thoughts.

I stamped the hat twice, sponged the base and colored the band and flower which I cut out and layered over the base with foam dimensionals. The flowers are from Michaels -Wedding section (they come in a pail). I sponged them with 3 colored inks, added the pearls to the centers, curved the petals on my finger tip and attached with foam dimensionals.

I love how bright and cheery this looks!

Stamps: Rubbernecker: Floral daisy #496, Victorian Damask - #498, Fashion Icon Set #455, Sentiment-Petite Thoughts.
Paper: Summer Sunrise, White - PTI, Certainly Celery SU
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo black, rose bud, dandelion, cottage ivy, Summer Sunrise - PTI
Accessories: sponge, flowers - Michaels, martha stewart edge punch, foam dimensionals, sticky pearls, saddle stitched Summer Sunrise ribbon - PTI
My next card was made for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge on Split Coast. This is the teapot Cindy showed us as inspiration. Isn't he fun?!? You can see Cindy's wild story here.

And here's the card I created - using the colors and dotted theme of the teapot itself.
I'm thinking the flower looks sort of like the rooster's cockscomb.
Inside the card I stamped one of the sentiments from the PTI set and overstamped it with the outline teapot. The Feel better is a little stamp by Uptown Artstamps.
Thanks so much for coming by!

Stamps: Tea for Two - PTI, inside fell better - Uptown Art Stamps
Paper: white, pure poppy, summer sunrise, dp Black & White basics - PTI
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black , Summer Sunrise
Accessories: fancy tags spellbinders, foam dimensionals, brads, flower punch - SU

Some Cute Favors and a Simple Get Well

Aren't these adorable little chicks and bunnies?! I made them as favors for our Easter Dinner Table. I found the printable digi templates at Mibo - printed them on my computer - cut them out, scored where indicated and put them together using Scor Tape!

Each animal is one piece (scored and folded) and they go together quick and easy! The instructions say to use glue - but I used Scor Tape - neater and an instant hold! The little one inside the cracked egg just cracks me up! And the faces on the bunnies are just so sweet!

You could put a couple of kisses inside the body column on these cute little critters - their heads lift up. There are actually 3 in each set but I had already given away two of them before I took my picture. I submitted these for the Technique challenge on Split Coast - to create a party favor.
Stamps: none
Paper: white - PTI
Ink: none
Accessories: color printer, computer, The Yolk Folk & The Carrot Crew from Mibo, scor tape, scor pal

The CAS challenge on Split Coast was to only use a sentiment stamp - you could use any other accessories - but no other stamps. I needed some get well cards for my stash - so I used a Get Well Soon sentiment. I added these flowers and butterfly from Cosmo Cricket which was Sharon's Stamp Simply challenge - to use chipboard on a card. I made the outline with a brown Micron 101 pen.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Stamps: Sincere salutation - SU
Paper: vintage cream - PTI
Ink: dark chocolate - PTI
Accessories: melonberry twill - PTI, brown micron 101 pen, chipboard - cosmo cricket Earth love

A Lavender Birthday

A beautiful web site called Thymes Fragrance Co. was our inspiration challenge over at Split Coast last Saturday. I chose this pretty Lavender bottle for my inspiration.

My card is very CAS - no layers (gasp) following the design of the bottle with the rounded edges. My stamps are all from a set by Rubbernecker Stamps called Floral Silhouette set 467 I sponged the edges to define the card and added little gems to the centers of the flowers for a little bling! Inside I stamped the floral image and over stamped it with another sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Wishing You a Most Blessed Easter Day!

A most blessed Easter to those celebrating the Risen Lord Jesus today!

I wanted to share with you this wonderful wooden cross that my husband made for me.

My sister and I each had a cross like this that our father bought us at our church fair one year when we were small. We had them on a table between our twin beds and kneeled in front of them to say our prayers at night.

When I found mine in a box in the attic recently, I asked Kent if he might be able to copy it and make me some to give to the people in my Bible Study Group at church and he made me about 50 of them!

I cut this Spellbinders tag and stamped it with a verse from The Gospel of Luke 24:6 and draped it around the cross. So appropriate for the Easter Season!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Stamps: Verve -Everlasting Life
Paper: Lavender Moon - PTI
Ink: Plum Pudding - PTI

How Do I Love Thee?

I made this cute top note card for the Featured Stamper Challenge this week over on Split Coast. I had never been in Beedubya's gallery before and there were lots of fun things to see in there!

I chose to case her black top note card as I was intrigued by the design of it all. I changed stamps and colors. My bg text and pretty rose are from Rubbernecker Stamps

I clear embossed both the background text and the rose. I cut out the rose close to the edge and added a little bit of white color with white craft ink. It's popped up over the text with foam dimensionals. The card is cut with the Top Note Die from Stampin Up.

WMS New Release DT Blog Waltz!

Welcome to the WMS DT Blog Waltz- we're all highlighting the 2 brand new sets Claire is releasing today - Free Spirit - Boy and Free Spirit Sentiments! Two great masculine style stamp sets.

You should start the blog waltz at Claire's blog If you came here from Lynn's blog then you are in the right place!

I am so excited to share with you this card and beach tote that I created. Today I used some of the surfing themed stamps from these new sets. (see my last 3 posts below for graduation and birthday cards).

I found the instructions for this neat beach tote here. I decorated it with the 2 surfboards from this set and the fun sentiment 'cowabunga'!! On the coordinating card I stamped the wave stamp and the surf boards again. Can you smell the wonderful salty ocean air!?!?! LOL!!
The 7"x6"x3" beach tote is big enough to hold some sun tan lotion, a waterbottle, or even a small towel! I thought this Cosmo Cricket DP - Snorkel - was perfect for the surfing/ocean theme!
Here's a close up of the tag on the front - don't you love the detail on the surf boards!?!

The coordinating card is very clean and simple (and very cool dude!!!) - the images are cut out and popped up on foam dimensionals.

Inside a simple sentiment stamped right over the surfboard. So there you have it!

Now waltz on over to Lisa's blog to see what she has to inspire us with these versatile new sets.

Be sure you leave a comment on everyone's blog as you waltz - there will be a free stamp set for one lucky commenter on one of the DT's blogs (which one? we don't know!) and another winner chosen from comments left on Claire's blog -

You have until Sunday 4/4 at 11:59 pm EST to leave a comment. The winners will be announced on Claire's blog Monday 4/5.

Here's the order of the waltz in case you lose your way!
