Let's Just Chill

I'm joining in on the Color Hues Challenge today.

I don't really like to be told what colors to use on my card -  it's a total inspiration killer for me - so I'm trying to stretch myself and tackle it head on today!

My first thought was to use these little summer drinks stickers since they are in the colors.
Then the problem is how to present them?!

After trying several die cut frames - I finally settled on this flat bottom circle and thought I could set it over the stamped sentiment!

And then, I struggled with the background - trying embossed panels, inked embossed panels,(nope, nope) and then I opened my drawer of Washi Tapes that I haven't used for years and there was the perfect design (summery) and in the right colors (shades of greens/yellows)!

So here it is!

A lovely simple design that took me 3 hours to figure out!

But that's why we love card making - right?!

Now I'm going to Just Chill for a while!

Also sending my card to:

drink imoji's

First time using this Washi Tape, the stickers and the sentiment stamp!

What a great composition, Julia - you pulled those elements together beautifully!! Love the little cocktail with the lemon & lime slices and the background is amazing!! LoL on the colors - I'll have to review your CCC cards to see if you ever followed the color palette :-)

That Washi tape is amazing and a perfect background for your refreshing drink, Julia! I love the arrangement on the sweet X-stitch dome and a perfect sentiment! Thanks so much for stretching yourself and joining us at Color Hues!

What a wonderful fresh and summery design. I love the green and yellow. They are my sort of colours and an excellent sentiment too. Let's just do that xx
