This month, the Group of Seven Cardmakers are playing with the technique of Faux Batik.
There are lots of YouTube videos on the technique all using slightly different methods! Several are linked over at the Group of Seven blog.
Here are some photos of the steps.

I have to say, I found it difficult to choose colors and stamps that ended up with something I liked - it all ends up a bit dark for me.
The rest of the Group of 7 Cardmakers had greater success than me with this technique!
Please give Faux Batik a try and link up your creations over at The Group of Seven Cardmakers blog. I'd love to see what colors and stamps you used!

This is a wonderful 4th July celebration card with the really colourful fireworks Julia, and the creases show up brilliantly...a beautiful card! x
Lovely card to celebrate your nation's birthday Julia!! Love the bright and fun colours with the burst of fireworks. Great Batik card! xx
Your bright and dark colors work great with the fireworks, Julia! You did a great job, my friend!
I think your colours worked wonderfully together, the fireworks really pop through the colours of the flag. I couldn't get my act together before the post after my vacation, I'll have play along later :)
Great card for 4th of July - love the fireworks! Wonderful colours and good job on the batik technique!
Don't knock yourself. I think it looks great, but clearly this technique is not one of your favourites xx
Fun 4th of July creation!! Way to go shopping your stash for our "by the numbers" challenge over at Shopping Our Stash. We are so glad that you joined the fun and played along with us. Deb Horst, DT #SOS548
Thank you for using the I.D.E.A.S. Calendar, sis, and for doing the photo tutorial for this unusual technique. It's fascinating that the results are so unique and I hope to give this a try some time. I hope you are back to pretty much normal now! Hugs, Darnell
Hi Julia, I hope your arm is healing well, I am currently waiting to see an ankle specialist... I love the fireworks stamp you have used and the bright colours behind them. Have a wonderful week... Megan
