January Mid Month Reminder - CAS Mix Up Challenge - Cling Wrap

Hi everyone!  It's the middle of January and I'm here today to remind you there's still time to join in on the CAS Mix Up Challenge!  The challenge is open through Jan 24th!
Nancy's challenge this month is to use Cling Wrap
I used cling wrap with Infusions, stamping, die cuts and enamel dots on my card(s) today.
(I ended up making 3!)
I started with a sheet of Bristol Smooth Surface Paper, sprinkled it with Sleight Blue Infusions by PaperArtsy, spritzed with water, laid a piece of cling wrap over it and squished up the wrap.  I left it to dry for a few hours, removed the cling wrap and this is what I got!
A close up view of one section - see all the wrinkles the cling wrap creates?
and a darker section

I used Tim Holtz Mini Detailed Butterfly Thinlits to cut my butterfly - they come with a solid shape and a cut out shape for 2 different butterflies.  On this card I cut both layers out of my cling wrap Infusions panel to show off the colors/design of the paper. Sentiment is from Signature Greetings by PTI.

Then I cut the butterfly base out of white and layered the detailed cut over it - you can appreciate the lovely lacy look to the butterfly - but you see less of the colors.
And then on my third card I used a whole panel of the colored panel as well as on the shaker balloon.  Sentiment is from Birthday Basics - PTI
I used Noted: Scalloped A2 Die from Papertrey Ink for all of the white die cut panels.  The shaker balloon die is from Stamplorations.

There are several links to techniques using Cling Wrap on the CAS Mix Up Blog -  check it out and try one and link up your card!  We can't wait to see!   Challenge is open through Jan 24th!

Wonderful designs with your cling wrap and infusions card, Julia. LOVE all three cards. The design on your butterfly cards is CAS perfection with your scalloped card front and detail scallop on the smaller panel. The double layered butterfly is so striking, and you are right, the double layer with one dark and one white butterfly does give a lacy look. And the balloon card is just plain fun! Great work! xx

I love all 3 of your beautiful cling wrap CAS card designs, Julia. They are beautiful examples of using your cling wrap scraps for more creative designs. TFS your BG piece and the close up of your 1st card butterfly. Real butterfly beauties, my friend. Hugs..

Love the large sheet of cling wrap background it has so much texture to it. I've never using Bristol paper so now that's on my next to do list. I love all three cards you made, your butterfly is spectacular, the cling wrap has given the wings so much texture for an open die cut and I really like your sentiment :) thanks for all the ideas and inspiration.

Way to go, getting three cards out of your wonderful piece of cling wrap background! I love all three designs, but especially the two butterfly ones. Interesting to see how much of a difference it makes layering over the dark vs white butterfly base - on the whole, I prefer the one over the white, but I agree, the dark one shows more of the technique and its colours. Thanks for joining us at CAS Watercolour as well!

That was a powerful piece of cling wrap background all in one bottle. Simply Gorgeous cards, I love all three. Love that the rest of the card is white, gives your focal point a precious impact. Those pearls are the perfect match, stunning! Warm hugs, xxx
