Joyful Christmas Tag

Happy Friday my stamping friends!  I have been off work this past week to be 'nurse' to Kent who had his right hip replaced a week ago Wednesday.    He's in some pain but on the road to recovery!  And I have had time this week to clean up my craft room a bit and to get ahead on some DT stamping projects - WIN/WIN!!  accept that I have to go back to work on Monday......

So, today - I have a sweet Christmas tag to share.  I used my brandy-new Folded Tags Die from PTI.  I stenciled it using Tim Holtz Stripes stencil and Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.
I also used my brandy-new (I've been bad - don't tell Santa!!)  Joyful Christmas stamp and die sets from PTI.  Don't you just LOVE this bottle brush tree??  The set has 3 tree sizes - this is the middle size.  I stamped it in Iced Spruce and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks.  I embossed the star in gold and adhered it to the top of the tree.  I added 5 little half pearls as ornaments - I wanted to keep the soft earthy color theme going!
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Ranger Distress Ground Espresso Ink.
I stenciled the inside of the tag as well - adding 3 stamped stars.  I sponged all the edges with Ranger Distress Iced Spruce.
I looped a piece of Cappuccino twine through the hole.
I'm linking my tag to the following challenges:
Have you heard about Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas over on her blog?  It started on Nov 4th and goes to Nov 15th -  Last year was her first year doing it and she asked me to be a tag contributor - which I happily did - and she graciously invited me to join in again this year.  My tag will be posting on November 11th -  but today I'm linking this one up to the challenge - because there are PRIZES TO BE WON!!!  whoo hoo!   Check it all out here
It has to be a mixed media tag - I used stamps, stenciling, and embossing..

I'm also linking to the Happy Little Stamper Christmas Challenge - Tag

I'd also like to remind everyone that the November A Vintage Journey challenge just started today - the theme is Baby You're a Firework!  We'd love for you to join in!  We're also welcoming 3 new Creative Guides to our team.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Beautiful tag Julia. Love the soft, vintage colours of your tag ... and LOVE your new bottle brush tree --- it's very cool!! And what a great design for the folded tag so that you can write on the inside and people don't have to try to flip to the back ... genius design!. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful tag at my Twelve Tags of Christmas event. xx

Such a unique tag Julia, love the way it folds down but not all the way! The stripes work well on this design and the little tree is just lovely.
