Today I have another card to share I made this past weekend (see my yesterday post below).
I haven't made a one layer card for a while - it's really hard to do, don't you think??!! (I did add one tiny little butterfly - but we are going to pretend it just flew over my card and landed on the beach hut umbrella!)
I used the wonderful summertime set My Island from Waltzingmouse. I inked the palm trees with 3 shades of blue - Tropical Teal, Hawaiian Shores and Aqua Mist (so that's Monochromatic) and I stamped the beach hut and umbrella with Harvest Gold and Orange Zest (so that's Ombre).
My CAS card design was inspired by 4 challenges:
Less is More - One Layer - theme HOME (I wish this beach hut WAS my home!)
Virginia's View Challenge - Monochromatic/Ombre (I did BOTH!)
Addicted to CAS - Code word Butterfly
Stamps: My Island - WaltzingmousePaper: White, Tropical Teal - PTI
Ink: Tropical Teal, Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold, Orange Zest, Smokey Shadow - PTI
Accessories: butterfly punch - Martha Stewart

Darling one-layer card, Julia!! And yes--they are kind of difficult! Maybe just as difficult as a creation made with layers and layers that took hours & hours to make!! :)
I do believe I can feel the warm tropical breeze playing on my skin right now!!
Oh, no--that's just my dog breathing on me!! :) :)
XOXO-Shari
Gorgeous one layer card & fabulous ombre & monochromatic colour scheme :)
I adore your ombre palm trees in teal, such a great colour paired with the orange hues. And that little butterfly is just fine, minimal embellishments are allowed so he can sit there quite happily :)
Thanks for sharing with us.
