Candy Cane Cookies

We're finally getting some great sunny warm weather here in MA so what do I do?? Make another Christmas card!
I stamped the candy canes and bow stamps from Candy Jar Christmas Fillers set from Waltzingmouse - the Merry Christmas is from the Nordic Winter set.  I die cut the canes and bow with the Jar Fillers die set from WMS.  I die cut the circle using my Stitched Mat Circle die from Lil' Inker Designs and added some home made enamel dots that I made from Perler beads.  The background paper is from a DCWV Christmas Stack that I've had for years I die cut it with a Stitched Mat Rectangle die and layered it to a piece of white card stock for sturdiness.  The dotted paper for the candy canes is from PTI.

So here's the inspiration photo for The Festive Friday Challenge - itsn't it YUMMY!?!
I'm also entering this into Virginia's View Challenge - to use stitching  the bow stamp has a stitched edge to it - and the circle and rectangle have die cut stitched edges!

Stamps:  Candy Jar Christmas Fillers, Nordic Winter - Waltzingmouse
Paper:  White - PTI, text DP - DCWV The Christmas Stack, dotted red DP - Textstyle 2009 Bitty Dot Basics - PTI
Ink:  Pure Poppy - PTI, Archival Jet Black
Accessories:  Jar Fillers Die Set - Waltzingmouse,  Stitched Mat Circles and Rectangle dies - Lil' Inker Designs, Glue N Seal - Ranger, foam tape, enamel dots home made from Perler Beads.

This is so pretty, Julia! It does seem funny to be making Christmas cards in warm sunny weather, but it is so nice to have that stash when all of a sudden we turn around and it's December!! This one is fabulous! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Darnell

The monochromatic theme works so perfectly with the inspiration and stitching element, Julia! The faux stitched diecut is just the perfect touch for this design! So glad that you play Virginia's View Challenge!
