An Early Christmas and a Parting Shot

lazy lizard (Liz) was the featured stamper over at Split Coast today - and I chose this pretty Nativity card of hers to case. When we case a card we need to change at least 2 things - I changed the stamp set and colors and used a threaded ribbon in the center panel rather than 2 panels and dots.

My Nativity is from a new set by H&M stamps you can see here: I used my snowflake cuttlebug folder for the background and a snowflake designer paper for the panel. I colored my Nativity with copic and prismacolor markers. I added a little bit of yellow stickles around Jesus's head for sparkle. Both the image and sentiment are up on foam dimensionals.

Liz lives in Texas - and apparently Ike struck her town - her house is not damaged but they did lose power - please keep everyone affected by the storm in your prayers this week!

Stamps: A Child is Born - H&M Stamps
Paper: White: PTI, Ballet Blue, Basic Black: SU, DP - DCWV Christmas Stack
Ink: onyx black versafine
Accessories: white gel pen, oval punch, blue threaded ribbon: Michaels, Copics, Prismacolor marker, Yellow Stickles, Foam Dimensionals

And my parting shot is two of the ladies that participated in the class I taught at The Papertree in Manchester, NH yesterday. They are holding the canvas bags and cards we made. A big shout out to Annette and Cara! We had a fun morning together with Michelle - the owner making this pretty gift set!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Thank you for going through all that trouble. Look out for a little something special next week in the mail!! And the card is just GREAT! I love the colors that you combined! You're really good with your markers. I have Prisma markers too and I don't really know what the heck to do with them! haha. I wish I could come over to your house so you can teach me! Actually, I told Kristin, that we'll have our get together at her house since she jazzed it up. You can teach me then! haha, HUGS, Jenn

Julia-
I am so sorry that I spaced it about the class. I was so excited about your class that it was the first one that I signed up for this month.

Dawn and I want to ask if you could bring the stamps and inks to next month's class. I have signed up for that one and I promise not to forget.

I love the colors and stamps of your design of this bag and the one for next month is too cute.

Back online after Ike made his way up through Missouri-rain, wind and our power went out at 5 this morning and just came back on about 10 tonight. We are very lucky compared to the Texas people-will keep them in my prayers.

Lovely Christmas card-great coloring. tfs

Yay for our crafting teacher Julia!!! These projects look like so much fun (still trying to get to MA to take a class from you-and if I ever do, I'm buying you lunch, hehe!) I bet that was such fun! And your Liz cased card is absolutely wonderful! What a precious image and your colors and the texture is just perfect. Visiting your blog is always a delight and such an inspiration. TFS it all. Hugs and have a great day!
