April Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Today I'm participating in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.  Here is the lovely photo we were given for inspiration.

And here is my card.
I got out an older PTI set Tea for Two Additions and die cut 3 white cups.  Then using the stamps in the set I stamped one in Pale Peony, one in Simply Chartreuse and one in Spring Rain.   I scraped the edges of each cup over a Gold Ink pad.

I die cut the card and patterned paper using Noted: Scalloped A2 dies.

To stamp the middle cup with the handle facing the other way, I used a Mirror Image Stamp by Delta which is just a wooden stamp with a solid piece of red rubber on it.  I stamped the image onto the rubber and then placed the turned over tea cup over the inking and pressed.  The image comes out a little blurry but i like how it looks!

I'm off to check out all the other inspired cards over at the Papertrey Ink Blog

Aren’t you the clever one, Julia? I love your stacked teacups Brushed in gold and that you even reversed a teacup. Great take on the challenge with your design, colors and teacups, of course.

Such a pretty card. I have not pulled out those tea cups in such a long time. What great fun to see you use them on a card for the hop. Great idea to swipe the edges in gold.

Sweet card Julia. Love your pretty tea cups. Great job doing a mirror image ... I have not tried that, but it looks amazing having one of the handles on the other side. Love the pretty colours and designs of your cups on the polka dot background. xx
