CAS Christmas - July 2026 - Snowman

Today the July CAS Christmas Challenge has been posted over at the CAS Christmas Blog!

Lin is our DT hostess for the challenge this month and she wants to see snowmen on our CAS card designs.

I was happy to get out this cute stamp from Colorado Craft that I've had for a few years and have never used yet?!!   I stamped the image in black and colored some parts with Copics.  I stamped the sentiment from Paper Trey Ink and then I embossed the background with a pierced cover plate.

I made 4 of this card while I had all the supplies out!

This stamp set comes with two snowman/bunny images so, while I had all the supplies out, I made 4 cards using the second image as well!

I actually used this 2nd stamp from the set on my reminder DT CAS Christmas card in June 2021!

See it here!

Eight more Christmas cards for my Christmas 2026 box!

We'd love to see your CAS Christmas card inspired by Snowman!  Please link your creation up over at CAS Christmas so we all can see!

This challenge ends on July 31st.

I was so excited when Loll e-mailed and said she was thinking of starting up her CAS Christmas Challenge and invited me to be on the Design Team again if I was interested?  Yes, please!

So here we are with the first challenge hosted by Loll herself!

I embossed the water color paper panel and simply stamped the Peace Dove inside the oval.

While I had the supplies out - I made 5 of these to begin my Christmas 2026 Stash!

We hope you will join us in getting our Christmas Cards done early with our monthly challenge - and how easy is it when the design is Clean and Simple?!!

Inkspirational Challenge #350 - Word Prompt Trees

Today, I'm sharing two cards I made for the newest Inkspirational Challenge that posted today.

I created my backgrounds using two different Northern Lights tutorials on YouTube which I've linked below if you are interested in trying them.

For my first card I found this YouTube Video by Ciara T Designs  - Beautiful Northern Nights.  She sponges vertical lines of blues and green for the sky along with a darker blue and black around the edges.

I used Ranger Distress Inks on this one, stamped the trees in Nocturne Versafine Clair and splattered with water.

For my second card below I watched this YouTube Video by Marilyn G - Northern Light Demo.  She uses two curved horizontal patches of green and purple color along with dark blue and black.

I used Ranger Distress Oxide inks on this one accept for the black which is Ranger Distress.  I stamped the image with Nocturne Versafine Claire.   I splattered this panel with water as well -  but it made a more muted splatter since the inks were Oxides so I then added "star" dots with a white Gel Pen.

So please join in our challenge and link up your card inspired by TREES over at the Inkspirational Blog where you will also find creative inspiration by the rest of the talented DT!

Frosty the Snowman Bunny

It's definitely time for me to be focusing on getting more Christmas cards done!  I was out of stamping commission for 3 months after having surgery for a torn rotator cuff on my right shoulder - but thanks  to physical therapy, I'm regaining movement and strength and can once again enjoy stamping sessions in the craft room!

The lovely framing was made using Punch & Pierce Plate from Spellbinders.  The stamps are all Colorado Craft.  I lightly colored with Copics.  I sponged the sky around the images. I added 3 confetti snowflakes. The frame is up on foam dots.

Reminder Post - Christmas Kickstart: Baubles

Today, as the Guest Elf for January -  I have a reminder post for the Christmas Kickstart January Challenge - Baubles.

I used another die from Festive Ornaments from Sizzix for my baubles card  - Santa's belted belly! (See my 1st post for the challenge using the plum pudding dies in the set here

I added a silver cord to hang it and layered it over a beautiful piece of pine branch DP.   Santa's belt is black glitter card but the sparkle doesn't show in the photo.  I popped up the bauble with foam dots and taped the top of the silver cord on the back of the DP.   Inside I stamped "Here Comes Santa Claus"!

So lets start building our new stash of Christmas cards so we're not in a rush come December!
You have until Jan 31 to link up your 'Bauble' cards over at Christmas Kickstart!

Guest Elf at Christmas Kickstart - Jan 2025 Baubles

Today, I'm excited to be posting a card as the Guest Elf at Christmas Kickstart for January!

For those of us living in the US - baubles are what we call ornaments, just in case you weren't sure (like me)?!

I recently purchased a fun die set - Festive Ornaments - from Spellbinders that has 5 ornament designs
(sold out on Spellbinders site, but still available on Amazon)

I used plum pudding dies from the set for this card - matching it with patterned paper that had plum pudding and other Christmas desserts and foliage on it!

And - I made my Christmas card a Christmas Thank You card because I needed one to send a friend and I used a bauble on it!

So we hope you will join us in January, creating a Christmas card with Baubles on it!!  You'll find the challenge here.

I'll  be back with a reminder post on January 15th!
