Warming Up Chilly and Freezy

Trying to get as many cards made as I can before Friday's deadline for the 2023 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Once again, I used these fun Paper Cut Cafe dies, this time with Chilly and Freezy, a December 2022 special release stamp set. I die cut a snowy grounding for them using Deckle Hills Die from Rubbernecker.

You will notice they are holding the hot mug of cocoa/coffee with their stick hands so it doesn't melt their bodies!

There are lots of prizes to be won at the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - chosen randomly by Linky entry # but you have to link up by Friday 11/10!  Check it out here.

Sewing with Cocoa

I've got another card for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog hop today.

My  design was inspired by the Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  I CASED a card she had made with a sewing machine on it -  a funny item to have on a Coffee Lovers card right??

So I used a hot cocoa patterned paper for the background and the cloth on the machine!

I just love the detail of this wonderful Sew Vintage die and stamps from the Greetery, it has quite a few pieces to die cut but the result is well worth it!

(I die cut 4 sets while I was at it so I have 3 more to use on other cards when I want them!)

Inside I've stamped a Christmas sentiment.  I'm going to send this to a cousin who sews professionally, she'll get a kick out of the vintage machine.

Let It Snow - We've got Hot Chocolate

I'm finally playing along with the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I sort of lost track of these for the past couple of years somehow, but I'm joining in today!

I used a winter theme for my design - getting out an older Let it Snow die from PTI (still available and on sale!) and my newer Papercut Cafe mugs from TH/Sizzix.

I used two different pieces of DP from The Magic of Winter Paper Pad from Echo Park for the background and 3 shades of blue textured paper for the mugs.  The mugs are all popped up on foam dots.

You'll find the Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop here.    The hop ends on Friday Nov 10th.  There are tons of companies sponsoring the hop and lots of prizes to be won!
Winners are chosen randomly by Linky#.

Like a Hug in a Mug

After an unusually warm fall here in New England, it's finally turning colder (I'm happy! some people aren't?!)  and our minds are turning to warm winter beverages!

I pulled out the wonderful Cozy Cup stamps and dies  as well as the Coaster die for my card today - all from the Greetery!

I stamped and die cut the images and die cut the coaster - then I sponged over all the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.  I layered all the images over a panel of Wood Panel designer paper, stamped the sentiment from Hug in a Mug set from SU and added red acrylic hearts.  The saucer and foamed cocoa are up on foam dots.

I'm linking my card to:

Warmest Greetings: Coffee, Sweaters and Snowflakes

Joining in with the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop today.
(I've missed a few of them somehow so wanted to be sure to join in this time!)
Here's my card.

I embossed the background with a wonderful 3D Embossing Folder called Sweater by Eileen Hull/Sizzix.  The snowflakes borders were die cut out of holographic silver paper with the Snowflake Edge Die from Ink to Paper.  The pretty coffee pot and mugs were stamped in black on white card and die cut using Coffee Set.  Both stamps and dies from Waltzingmouse (retired).  They are popped up on foam dots over the sentiment from Coffee with a Splash set from Altenew.  I added Glitter Silver Wink of Stella to the centers of the flowers on the pot and mugs.

CAS Mix Up Jan 2021 Splatter

I've resolved to play more often in the CAS Mix Up Challenges in 2021.  So I'm starting right off in January!

I used splatters, Washi Tape, stamping and enamel dots on my card today.

Splatter is such a tricky thing, depending on what medium you use and the method of application, you really don't know where the splatter will go!   So mine worked out pretty well accept for that rogue dot in the sentiment!  I used a watery brown watercolor paint on a paint brush that I tapped with my finger over the panel.

There are two new members on the CAS Mix Up design team starting this month so be sure to check out the challenge and all of the DT's inspiration for splattering!  They also have some links to technique videos for splattering to help you hone your skills!
You'll find the challenge here.

Paper:  White, Dark Chocolate, Soft Stone - PTI

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - A Caffeinated Tree Frog!

Here's my 5th and final card for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  What fun this week has been and there are well over 1,300 entries!  That's a lot of coffee cards!
I used a super cute frog die from Impression Obsession for my final blog hop card - adding a coffee cup, that I stamped and fussy cut, to one of his sticky little hands!  This sweet guy measures just 3" tall and makes me smile every time I look at him!

I cut two full frogs so I could make him into a card.  I scored a line across the top of the inside piece, from ear to ear, and adhered them together with glue.  The score line allows you to fold a clean crease for opening. I also cut an additional head and popped that up onto the front with foam dots just for a little added dimension.
I used two different green Copics and a white Stabilio pencil to make the dots on the green and a yellow Copic for the dots on his belly.  I cut extra hands out of yellow to match his belly - and colored his finger tips with a red copic.  I added red enamel dots for his eyes - drawing on the pupils with a Fine Tip Black Sharpie.
(I googled tree frog for help with my colors!)
The sentiment inside is from a retired Coffee Set from Waltzingmouse.

They plan to announce all the random prize winners on Sunday over at the blog hop - fingers crossed!

Stamps:  Front of card: Coffee Cup, and sentiment - no name stamp set,  inside sentiment from Coffee Set  Waltzingmouse retired)

Ink:  Mocha - Altenew
Accessories:  Frog Die - Impression Obsession, Copics YG95, YG17, YR09, YR21, foam dots, Fine Point Sharpie, enamel dots - Altenew, white pencil - Stabilo

Today I have one more card for the Coffee Lovers Spring/Summer Blog Hop.

There's just one more day to join in on the blog hop!
