Today I'm playing along with the June CAS Watercolour Card Challenge. The theme is OCEAN.
I've been wanting to learn more about watercoloring on cards and this challenge is a great way to do it with all of the inspiration from the design team and links on the challenge blog to techniques!
For my watercolor background I used a pouncing technique where I rubbed Ranger Distress Inks onto my craft mat, spritzed the colors with water and pounced the watercolor panel into one color at a time - drying with my heat tool between colors. The first color I used was Cracked Pistachio, the second Broken China and then Seedless Preserves (which I just pounced along the bottom edge).
Then I stamped one of the fish from Sea Life from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous over the panel. I layered the panel over a cream Bazzill card base using form dots. I stamped the Psalm from Beauty by the Sea from Sweet N Sassy on a piece of watercolor paper and adhered it below the watercolor panel.
