Guest DT at Just Us Girls - #840 Word Week Bold
It's time for another challenge over at Just Us Girls - with my second card as the Guest Designer for Sept!
I'm so excited to be playing along with the talented JUGS Design Team!
Here's the newest challenge:
And here is the card I created.
I'm thinking this DP from Retro Vibes by Whimsy Stamps is pretty bold?! As well as the silhouettes of the disco dancers?! from Retro Dancers Die set - also from Whimsy Stamps.
The sentiment is from Simple Strips: Birthday die cut with the Simple Strips Straight Edge die both from Taylored Expressions. The birthday sentiment stamp has 13 sentiments on it, that all get cut at the same time using the die!
There were a couple of 'snarky' sentiments I thought about using from the set on my card - "Sorry to Hear You're Getting Old" and "Another Year Closer to Velcro Shoes" that would work for someone like me who is old enough to remember the Disco Years (!) but I played nice instead - inside I used the sentiment from the set "Eat Cake and Celebrate".
I added 3 little gems that sparkle like a disco ball in the light!!
Stamps: Simple Strips: Birthday - Taylored Expressions.
Ink: Nocturne - Versafine Clair
Paper: Summer Sunrise, True Black - Papertrey Ink, DP Retro Vibes - Whimsy Stamps.
Other Supplies: Retro Dancers Die Set - Whimsy Stamps, Simple Strips Straight Edge Die - Taylored Expressions, Gems - Joann's.

Seagulls at the Beach
Today I have a fun summer birthday card to share.
There's nothing like seagulls flying around you when you're at the beach trying to eat your lunch, right? They are even in mall parking lots looking for food! (Many of us remember the 'Mine, Mine' the seagulls were squawking on the movie Finding Nemo, right?! My sister and I could not stop cracking up when we watched that movie.)
I adhered a piece of ocean DP over the card base. I die cut a polaroid frame from Whimsey Stamps and stenciled the seagull head inside of it. The seagull stencil, the bucket of fries, the umbrella stencil and dies and sentiments are all from Waffle Flower.
I'm linking my card to:
Stamps: Inquisitive Seagulls, Postage Collage Beach Days - Waffle Flower
Paper: White, Pure Poppy, Summer Sunrise - PTI, Hammered White - Amazon, Ocean DP Ella and Viv Scrap Book Paper
Ink: Caribbean Sky, Heart Beat - Altenew, Nocturne - Versafine ClairAccessories: Postage Collage Beach Day Stencil, Happy Seagull Dies - Waffle Flower, Polaroid Die - Whimsey Stamps, Copics Y38, YR04, T6, Blender Brushes, foam dots.

March 2024 Card Chain Challenge Reveal - You Make Me Snort
Today's the day for the March Card Chain Challenge Reveal - I sent a card to Jo in the United Kingdom and received a card from Gail in British Columbia, Canada.
Here is my card:
Every month there are options for designing your card - you can use all of the options but just have to use one of them.
For my card, I used the color options - black, white and one other color (I used pink), and I used the theme 'on the farm' - using a pig image.
First, I stamped the pig from Piggies Crushed It in the center of a white card panel. I colored the image with pink and black Copics. Then I stenciled around the image with Milky Way Stencil using a blender brush with pink ink. I die cut the Polaroid frame and layered it over the image, popping it up on foam dots.
I stamped the balloon again on a piece of white card, colored it, cut it out and layered it over the stamped balloon and over the frame. I die cut the FRIEND from Fun with Words die set and adhered it to the lower edge of the Polaroid die cut. I colored in the heart on the 'I' of FRIEND with a pink Copic and added 3 black Tuxedo hearts around the card. Instead of adhering the panel to a folded card - I adhered a die cut easel to the back of the panel.
Please join us in this fun monthly challenge where we send and receive a card to places all over the world! You'll find all the details about signing up for April at The Card Chain Challenge Blog. You have until April 6th to sign up!

Every Day Should be a Chocolate Day
Today I'm joining in with the Inspired by Challenge.
I really want to sip on one of these pink hot chocolates!!
I was inspired by the frothy white and pinks along with the strawberries. Instead of a drink - mine is a heart shaped frosted cookie!
