An Easter Treat for the Kids

Today is my day to post over on the Waltzingmouse Team Talk Blog.
I made a sweet little carrying case for Easter
that opens up to reveal coloring cards and crayons tucked into clear pockets to entertain the kids after Easter Dinner!

Easter Eggs x Two

Well -  we are back to Monday again (where do the weekends go?!) and I'm back with two cards to share -  I needed a few more Easter cards - having sold most of mine at our church sale yesterday (!)  so here are two that I made.
This first card is clean and light - I used some eggs I had already die cut with my Nested Egg Nestabilities but then didn't use.  The paper is from the Sweet Sorbet pack by Stampin' Up with a piece of torn Washi tape behind them.  The two smaller eggs are popped up on foam dots.  I used my ever present Stitched Mat Rectangle die for the panel, layering it over a white card base.
For my second card I went colorful and bright using primary colors for my Nestie eggs, decorating them with a chevron die cut, Washi Tape and Liquid Pearls.  I made my flower with Buttons Stack die set from PTI, and the grass is a die from MFT - all popped up on foam dots.  I layered everything over a Stitched mat rectangle die cut of patterned paper from DCWV.
My inspiration for the design of both cards was the photo for this week's Addicted to Stamps Challenge
I'm also linking to the Cut It Up Challenge -  Easter and use a die cut
and Cas-ual Fridays -  Good Egg - Use Ovals
I'll be back tomorrow with more Easter inspiration for my monthly post for the Waltzingmouse - Team Talk Blog - I hope you can stop by!

Wet Baby

Having missed the challenge deadline for yesterday's card - I wanted to be sure to get these posted before they were too late!  I have two cards to share.

I made my first card using a Tear Drops Stencil from MFT on a panel die-cut with a Stitched Mat Rectangle from Lil' Inker Designs.  I sponged only a portion of the stencil using Archival Cornflower ink.  The stamps are from Asian Garden Additions from Waltzingmouse.  I added 3 little dew drops to the stenciled tears (I haven't used these dew drops in years!)
I'm entering this card in the CAS-ology Cue Card - Wet challenge.
I have a friend who owns a sweet little baby shop in a neighboring town - and she buys baby cards from me to sell there.  I made this card to show her for possible purchase.  The blocks are from the Multi- Step Baby set by Kitchen Sink Stamps using 3 shades of pink ink  (see the baby shoes stamp on this card here)
Here you can hopefully see how 3D the image looks - it's really cool how the multi stamps work-  I die cut the panel the blocks are stamped on with a square Nestability.  The arrow is a die from MFT and the white panel was die cut (again!) with the stitched mat rectangle die from Lil' Inker Designs (I think I have used this die on almost every card I've made the last few weeks!!)
I made this card in 3 colors -  for girl babies, boy babies and for 'sex not known yet' babies!
For the design on these sweet baby cards I used the Wanna Sketch?

Cherish

Happy weekend everyone!  Today I have a card that I made for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Baby Booties (ETA I missed the deadline - bummer!)
This image is SO SO sweet and it instantly reminded me of the Multi Step Baby stamp set I have from Kitchen Sink Stamps.  I bought it way over a year ago - and today is the first time I've inked it up!  The set has lots of baby images - a mug, spoon, set of 3 ABC blocks boy shoes and girl shoes - plus lots of sentiment words - I, of course,  used the boy shoes today
I just love how the Multi Step Kitchen Sink stamps look so three dimensional - like a photo or a painting of the item.  For those of you who have never used these stamps -  there are 4 different shoe stamps that you use to stamp this -  for each stamp you use a different color blue - from light to dark -  each stamp has a smaller amount of detail than the one before it -  so you are layering colors and detail on top of each stamping.
And here are the sentiments - from the same set - that I stamped on the inside.

I've got lots of plans for this weekend -  Friday night I babysat for my sweet little Grand Nephew and Niece - Landon and Mila while their parents went to a Boston Celtics Game.  Today I'm traveling to Mason, NH with my sister to have a gourmet lunch at Pickity Place -  and tomorrow 2 friends and I are having an Easter Cards and treats sale at our church after services!

Stamps:  Multi Step Baby - Kitchen Sink Stamps
Paper:  White - PTI
Ink:  Memento Summer Sky, Teal Zeal, Bahama Blue and Nautical Blue
Accessories:  stitched edge mat die - Lil' Inker Designs, foam dots.

Fusion Card Challenge - April 10th

To see my eclectic Paperie blog post - please scroll down

Well, stamping friends - it's Thursday and there's a new Fusion Challenge! We are SO HAPPY to welcome Jeanne Jachna to the Design Team with this weeks challenge!  And at the same time so sorry to be saying goodbye to Geri - we'll miss your wonderful creations and wish you the best!

With spring upon us we'll be getting our gardens cleaned up and ready for planting - and today's photo inspiration puts us right in that mood!  Aren't these rose backed chairs gorgeous?! Can you imagine walking into a wedding reception or shower and seeing these?!  Or maybe you're not a flower person and you'll be inspired by something else in the photo - or just the sketch?
I found inspiration in both for my card today.  I used watercolor paper for the oval and top panels.  My card base is Vintage Cream card stock.  The inked flowers look softer as the watercolor paper absorbs the ink a bit more, a nice look for a sympathy card I think.  The stamps are Petals and Posies from Reverse Confetti.
I scored lines on the panel under the lower half of the oval to represent the lines on the base of the chair in the photo.  You can see them much better IRL!
What inspires you most -  the photo or the sketch?  Or will you do both like I did this week?  Can't wait to see what you link up over at the Fusion Challenge Blog!

You'll find lots of inspiration from the other Fusion Design Team Members linked below:

A Perfect Day for a Happy Birthday

I'm squeezing in a couple more challenge cards that I had time to make this week.  First is a card I used some of my brand new Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi stencils on.  The background is Check Mate and the tree is Layered Tree.  The sentiment is from Sentimental Art by Studio 490 Stampers Anonymous.  I stenciled on a panel of watercolor paper so there is a nice texture on it.  I used Ranger Distress Bundled Sage, Archival Leaf Green and Tree Branch.

I'm linking this card to the Keep It Simple challenge - Stencil

As well as Virginia's View Challenge - Stencil
and the Moxie Fab World Styling with Stencils

For my second card I used some pretty patterned papers I just got at a friends Stampin' Up Party.   The balloons are dies from WPlus9 Whole Lotta Happy that I added twine balloon strings to!   The sentiment  Verve.
My card design is from Seize the Sketch
and I was also inspired by the Cure for the Monday Blues - the colors and mix of patterns!
