Snowflakes Sparkle

I love to look at my stamps and see a way to use them that isn't the original intent of the stamp -  such is the challenge over on Nicole Heady's blog for the Make It Monday this week - to make a frame using PTI stamps (now that I look back at the challenge I see it says to make a 'square' frame - and I made a rectangle - whoops!)

Anyhoo -   I looked through my plethora of  PTI stamp sets  and came upon this Background Basics - Retro Set -  and I thought this line/circle stamp would make a great looking winter frame.  I masked the edges when I stamped the side pieces so they didn't stamp past the edges.  I die cut the tree and deer from the In the Meadow die set - stamping them with the snowflake stamp from the set of the same name.    I stamped the sentiment below the frame.
I brushed over the tree and deer with Glitter Glaze for some sparkle and layered them over the frame using foam dots.
I'm also entering this in the Cas-ology Cue Card - Brown challenge.

I'm so happy with the pretty frame on my card -  and happy to have learned a new way to look at my stamps!

Stamps:  Background Basics - Retro, In the Meadow - PTI
Paper:  Dark Chocolate, white, Soft Stone, Ocean Tides - PTI
Ink:  Memento Gray Flannel, Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:  In the Meadow Dies - PTI, Glitter Glaze Sheer sparkle - MFT, foam dots
