Life Becomes More Bright

Happy Friday everyone!   I made this card for this weeks One Layer Wednesday challenge -  Ardyth challenged us to make a one layer birthday card in a style she would like (it's her b'day this week)  She loves cheerful bright colors so that is what I used on my card.  I'm also linking this up to Darnell's blog to celebrate Ardyth's b'day.

To make the design - I dropped dots of re-inkers onto the card and blew them with a straw.  I think it gives a great effect - certainly bright and colorful!  The sentiment is from the MFT About Birthdays set.

Got to dash -  I'm on my way to pick up Anne Harmon (jdmommy).  We're 'working' the stamp show at the Eastern States Exposition (the Big E!) 1305 Memorial Avenue (Rte. 147) West Springfield, MA this weekend with Dave at the Rubbernecker booth.  If you're in the area please drop by and say hi!!

Stamps:  MFT - About Birthdays
Paper:  white - PTI
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black, reinkers Cameo Coral, Barely Banana, Bashful Blue -SU

  10. very cool cards.....my students used to do this with black ink to present their haikus when we did our Japan unit...love it with the multicolor inks.....sorry I will not see you this weekend....I have had some big ticket items/issues, so I can't justify more stamps and supplies when I already have lots of virgins in the stamp cave.....hope you and Anne have a fabulous time

  15. What a terrifically bright & unique card. I've never seen this 'blow thru a straw' technique before. Looks very tempting. I'm sure Ardyth loved it! TFS & thanks for visiting my blog. Hope to see you again, and I'll be joining as a follower here, so I can pop back & visit.
