Today the Design Team is showing you a set called Folk Art Medallion. It is a large stamp set and includes a wonderful large circle medallion, a floral swag, several frames, leaves, smaller medallions and two sentiments!
I've used the large medallion and several of the smaller florals on my canvas gift bag below. Each color is a different stamp.
Here's a close up of a sentiment from the set that I die cut with a Labels 25 Nestability I'm entering this bag in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - a Bit O' Green
Next up is a CAS Thank You note using the floral swag and another sentiment from this versatile set. I die cut the sentiment with Labels 25 and added 2 rhinestones to the center of each flower on the swag. The ink and card base are both dark purples - but the card looks more like navy blue in the picture. Below, you will see what I stamped on the inside of my card.
And for my final project to share today - I used Claire's wonderful Rubber Band Box template cutting it out of some beautiful Folk Art Medallion Digital patterned paper Claire is also releasing tomorrow! They coordinate wonderfully with this stamp set as well as Folk Art Labels No. 25 which we showed you yesterday - the birthday sentiment below is from that set.
I stamped the thank you sentiment on a Labels 4 Nestability and then cut it in half. Below you see the flap outside of the round elastic cord that holds it closed so you can see the detail.on the flap.
To make the circle on the flap, I stamped one of the frame stamps from the set in black and a smaller floral medallion in Ripe Persimmon on white card stock - punched it with a 1 1/2" circle then colored in the white spots with black and yellow Copics. I adhered that circle on the bottom of the flap along with a punched scallop edge strip.
For the birthday box, I again used half of a Labels 4 Nestability for the sentiment and sponged the edges with Ranger Distress Pumice Stone.
I inked the leaf part of the swag with Memento London Fog and colored the dots on the stamp with an SU marker and then stamped it on white. I didn't ink the flower as I couldn't get it inked without getting the orange on the other pieces. There is a separate stamp of the same flower in the swag with this set - so I just inked that flower and stamped it in the space after I stamped the swag. Then I colored inside the flower with 2 different shades of yellow Copics. I wanted to match the patterned paper as much as possible! I just hand cut around the edges of the swag.
These Rubber Band Boxes measure 3' x 3 1/2" x 1" deep and you so you could fit tea bags, gift cards, Ghiradelli chocolates, etc. inside! Claire has a larger box in the template as well. It comes in PDF (to hand cut) and SVG (to use with a cutting machine like Silhouette Cameo)
