There's a new challenge up at Inkspirational #351 - and it's a Moodboard!
Pretty obvious what things inspired me.
The red top mushrooms with their white dots, the snail and butterfly!
The snail and sentiment stamps are from Mush Love and Snailed It stamp sets from Claire Brennan Design (retired)
I made a second card without the snail - making it a little less whimsical?
Or for someone who might think snails are slimy!
I added the enamel heart from Altenew and the butterfly from This calls for Confetti on both cards. I used Glossy White Nuvo Crystal drops on the mushroom caps. I colored everything with Copics.
I actually made two more (before the two above) but messed them both up with a stencil background and with a hand drawn squiggle frame - you never know what it will look like until you do it - and sometimes you really DON"T LIKE IT - so into the trash they went!
I used a newly purchased Mushroom Duo Press Plate and Die set
So please join us and show us your card design inspired by the Moodboard!
You'll find wonderful inspiration from the rest of the Design Team and Mr. Linky over at Inkspirational.
This challenge ends Oct 10th.

I like your punny sentiment and those marvelous polka dotty mushrooms! This is delightful, Julia!
ReplyDeleteAdorable snail with the mushrooms, Julia - love all the nuvo dots!!
ReplyDeleteYou nailed the mushroom and I'm loving the snail on the first card and the sweet little butterfly!
ReplyDeleteLove how you added the white Nuvo drops to the tops of your shrooms. This is a darling one layer card with a punny sentiment Thanks for playing at Seize the Birthday, Julia.
ReplyDeleteI just love seeing these mushrooms in the wild they're so beautiful. Both cards are wonderful especially the punny one 😁

Love your spotted red mushrooms Julia!! Your punny sentiment is awesome too! Fun cards. xx
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous, Julie! Love the mushrooms! Great colouring!
ReplyDeleteI like both versions of this mushroom design. I’d say the one without the snail is a bit more suited for a man, but females don’t mind a cutie snail on a card. It’s the ones in real life that bother us:)
ReplyDeleteA duo of delightful card that I love very mush! The colours, the design, the with or without the snail (who, by the way, I think is cute!)...these are absolutely awesome! Talk about an inspiring take on the mood board!

Perfection Julia, in both versions!! Love the whole vibe~
ReplyDeleteBoth cards look great and I love how you added the white Nuvo drops to the mushroom tops. That snail is so cute on the first card, and that sentiment is perfect. Thanks for joining us at Seize the Birthday.
