Well, here we are into October already! And today the new CAS Stencil Card Challenge has been posted! Loll is our fearless hostess this month and she wants us to stencil over patterned paper!
How fun and easy is that?
I pulled out my newly purchased Abandoned Paper Stash paper pad from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology to make a Halloween card. I cut a rectangle out of the paper and adhered it to a white panel.
I laid the Wild Flowers stencil from Crafters Workshop over the panel positioning it so it extended off the patterned paper. I spread Wendy Vecchi Black Embossing Paste thinly over the stencil with a palette knife. I removed the stencil and let the paste dry on the panel (wash your stencil right away!). I added Halloween Clippings Stickers from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology, some black enamel dots and stamped a bat on the side!
So please join us this month at CAS Stencil Card Challenge and show us how you use your stencils over patterned paper!
You'll find lots of inspiration from the Design Team as well as our talented October Guest Designer, Gundi, over at the blog.

What a fabulous card and created so easily with a bit of patterned paper. I must learn that trick, the black embossing paste is perfect over the top xx
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! When you mentioned having used some more of the paper, I had to come looking. Again, that's so effective with the stencilled flowers extending over the panel and the eerie words floating nearby.
