February CAS Mix Up - Felt, Cork or Canvas.

It's February 1st and the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge is up!  Joanna is our hostess this month and she has challenged us to use felt, cork or canvas - how fun does this sound??!
For my card - I die cut felt, stamped a sentiment and used a die cut border.
The frame die is from the Noted: Scalloped A2 die set from PTI.  The cupid and heart are Movers and Shapers dies called Mini Lovestruck from Tim Holtz/Sizzix.  The birch paper is wrapping paper from Pier 1 and the stamp is from Cupids and Arrow by PTI.  I used glue on the felt to hold it on securely.

I can't wait to see whether you us felt, cork or canvas this month - and to see how you use it!!

You'll find links to several ideas for using felt, cork or canvas in your designs over at the CAS Mix Up Blog!   We have until 2/24 to link up our  cards!   Remember to keep them CAS with lots of open space!
Stamps: Cupids Arrow - PTI (retired)
Paper: white, Scarlet Jewel - PTI, birch bark wrapping paper - Pier 1.
Ink: True Black - PTI
Accessories: Mini Lovestruck Movers and Shapers Dies (retired) - Tim Holtz/Sizzix, Noted: Scalloped A2 die - PTI, ruby and pink felt, Tombow Glue.

  5. Ooooh, that background is truly exceptional and perfect for the soft felt cupid and heart. Love that you matted the white panel onto the red piece, it really ties everything together. The stitched scallop is a nice finish too. hugs xx

  9. What a lovely valentine card, Julia! The grayish birch paper is a perfect background for the red cupid and the pink heart in terms of both color and visual texture. Great use of the wrapping paper. I'll start looking at wrapping papers differently from now on. ;-) I love that you placed the cupid's hands and heart off the panel! Hideko
