I just purchased this Drinking the Coffee stamp from Technique Junkies -
it CRACKED me up reading it!
I stamped the sentiment directly onto a piece of patterned paper from Water Color Wash Pattern Paper Collection from PTI.   I colored the coffee mug with Ranger Distress Markers in Tea Dye and Spun Sugar.  I layered the panel to an Hibiscus Burst Panel and then onto the Summer Sunrise card base.

Here's the link to the Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop -  lot's of prizes to be won! You have until 6/30 to link up your card!

Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop - Card #3

Here's my 3rd card for the fun Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop!

I made a background panel by rubbing Ranger Distress Oxides in Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber onto my craft mat, spritzing each color with water and then pressing and dragging my panel over the colors.
After the panel was dry, I stamped this great image, Framed Coffee for Two by Stamplorations in black ink.  The frame die is Mix and Mat- Herringbone from PTI.   The sentiment stamp is from Ali Express - a company in China.  I added a few rhinestones for sparkle!

Thank you Amy, and the rest of the team that work so hard to organize this!
I made a clean and simple card today with a water color wash background on Arches watercolor paper.  I stamped the park scape in Archival Jet Black Ink, dried it with my heat tool, brushed water over the area I wanted to watercolor and then brushed on the watercolor paints.  I dried it again with my heat tool and then stamped the sentiment on.
The sentiment is from an older Papertrey Ink set - Warm Happiness and the Parkscape is a red rubber stamp from Stampendous.

Are you participating in the blog hop too? It runs from  Friday, June 23 - Friday, June 30.
You'll find the link up and list of all the prizes to be won here.

I'm also linking my card to:

Eileen Hull Inspiration Team - Stampotique Collaboration 3rd Post

This month Eileen Hull's Sizzix Inspiration Team is joining with Stampotique!   We were happily supplied with 6 Stampotique stamps of our choice - so you will see lots of variety over on Eileen's blog every Tuesday in June!

Today is my third post this month for the collaboration -  and I'm excited to share with you the project I made!
(if you missed them - you can see my first project here and my 2nd project here)
I love to store my craft supplies in artistic containers - it brightens up my work space and gives me visual pleasure!    I used Eileen's Vase 3D Sizzix die for this container to hold my 12 Ranger Distress Crayons!  I die cut the Vase out of black mat board.  Then I laid Tim Holtz Burlap Stencil over it and embossed it using Wendy Vecchi White Embossing Paste -  I kept moving the stencil to fill the whole area - not worrying if it didn't cover everywhere or got smudged a little here and there!
I set the die cut aside to dry and stamped this sweet Mela image from Stampotique onto white card, colored it with some Copics (BG10, R20, RV06, YR07, E00 and colorless blender) and then fussy cut around her.
When the stenciled paste was dry (within an hour) - I assembled the vase per the instructions - using ScorTape on one end piece and the bottom piece.
I  glued a Quote Chip on one panel, letting it stick out straight as it is quite thick and would crack if bent.  I glued Mela's shoulder to the edge of the Quote Chip and also put a foam dot behind her tummy, attaching her lightly to the vase as well.
I left her arms, legs and feet loose - liking the free form look of it.
This will certainly brighten up my work space and bring a smile to my face whenever I see Mela standing there handing me a crayon!

I hope I have inspired you to check out all the fun stamps over at Stampotique as well as all of Eileen Hull's wonderful Sizzix Dies!
You will find all of the Inspiration Teams' projects over at Eileen's blog during the month of June!

I'm also linking my project to:

Happy Birthday, Bird!

I have a 'bird' birthday card to share today that was inspired by three of this weeks blog challenges.
I stenciled a panel of white card with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink over Tim Holtz Scribble stencil.  I die cut the bird from Tim's Caged Bird die out of Coredinations Paper, sanded the pieces and layered it over the stenciled panel with foam dots, adding a black pearl eye.  I stamped the sentiment under the right corner of the panel in black ink.
Here are the challenges that inspired my design:

Stamps:  Man of the Hour - Waltzingmouse (no longer available)
Paper:  White - PTI, Orange and Black - Coredinations
Ink:  True Black - PTI, Faded Jeans - Ranger Distress Oxide Ink
Accessories:  Caged Bird Die - Tim Holtz/Alterations, foam dots, black pearl - Kaiser Craft, mini sander - Ranger, Scribbles Stencil - Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous.

June CAS Mix Up Challenge - Mid month reminder!

Can you believe June is half over already!   I'm here today to remind you about the June CAS Mix Up Challenge where Loll is our host  -  you still have time to link up your CAS creation!
I used black embossing paste over stencils, stamped sentiments, rhinestones and punched butterflies.
I actually made 3 cards for my reminder post as I decided to use Wendy Vecchi Black Embossing Paste over 3 of Tim Holtz mini stencils (leafy, feather and splash) so they all fit on an 11" x 4 1/4" panel.
(a regular card size before folding it in half!).
Here are the stencils laid out over the white card panel.
Here they are with the black embossing paste spread over them.  I used blue painters tape to hold the stencils over the paper so they wouldn't move as I spread the paste over them.
Here are the results after carefully removing the stencils.  I let the panel dry overnight.
Remember to wipe off your stencils immediately then wash them thoroughly before the paste dries on them.
I trimmed each stenciled piece close to the edge leaving a small white border on all 4 sides.
For my first card, I added a sentiment stamped strip and die cut butterfly both up on foam - the butterfly has foam just on the center body part so the wings can be folded up to add dimension.  I also added purple rhinestones.
I don't particularly like black for sympathy cards - but I think adding the color softens the harshness.
I made a 2nd Sympathy card, rotating the card to its side and using green instead of purple for the accent color.
(funny how changing the color completely changes the look!?)
And for my third card I made a masculine birthday card (always like to have these on hand - and for some reason I think guys need funny sentiments on their cards ???!!!), stamping the sentiment from Off Beat Birthdays by PTI on a sponged panel left over from when I made this card for last month's splatter challenge.
You have until June 24th to link up your CAS cards using Embossing Pastes/Gels - check out the challenge here -  where you will also find lots of inspiration from the other talented Design Team members!

Trust in the Lord

My Godchild Eden is being confirmed this weekend at St. Paul's Cathedral in Boston, and I wanted to make her a special card for this wonderful benchmark event in her life!
The stamps on the front of the card are from Phrases and Praises from PTI.  I stamped the heart in Hibiscus Burst, cut it out and layered it under the sentiment.  I cut the circles with Nestabilities.  I spelled her name using Idea-ology Label Letters.
Inside I die cut God from Hibiscus Burst card and stamped the sentiment from Inspired: God also from PTI.  I added an Idea-ology Mirrored Heart for a little bling!
I also bought her this 4 x5 silver box with a personal engraving that she can keep on her bureau of shelf to put special things in.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches
And my colors were chosen from The Card Concept
I feel my design is Clean and Graphic
