CC3C#9 - Stamps and Framelits - Be Thankful

I've got a two-fer today -  I'm joining in the Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge #9 -  Stamps and Framelits -  and also posting my project over at the eclectic Paperie Blog.
We can't describe the technique - but you'll find it in Tim's Compendium of Curiosities Vol 3 Page 63.  The CC3C rules require that we all work from our own copies of Tim's book.  So I will share lots of photos and describe the other techniques that I used on my large 6" x6" card/panel today.

First I used Tim's technique on my Acorn Blue Print Framelit stamp and die set.
Then I created the card base using a piece of basket weave DP from Tim's Paper Stash/Destinations,  Honeycomb die and Arch Frame die.  I sponged the honeycomb with Wild Honey Distress Ink, covered it with Glue N Seal and then poured Mustard Seed Distress Glitter over it.  After it dried I rubbed over it with my finger and then sponged over it with Frayed Burlap and Wild Honey ink.
I tied a knot of Linen Ribbon sponged with Wild Honey through the honeycomb.  I inked a metal foliage with Archival Orange Blossom and Potting Soil then rubbed some Rusty Hinge Distress paint over it and dried it with a heat tool.  I used a Trinket Pin to attach it to the ribbon.
I inked some Industrious Stickers/Borders with the Archival Orange Blossom and Potting Soil inks, dried them with my heat tool and added one along the bottom
and one along the top right corner
I added a die cut easel to hold the panel up.
This will make a pretty decoration for Thanksgiving - sitting on a shelf or counter, or even on my desk at work!

One lucky entry in the CC3C challenge will win a $50.00 gift certificate from the Inspiration Emporium!  Reason enough to join in right?!

So now I'll ask you to do two things -  check out the fun CC3C challenges here.
and check out my blog post over at the e Paperie Blog here!

This weekend I am be attending 3 workshops given by Dina Wakley at a local craft shop.  I'll be learning all kinds of new things using acrylic paints and stamps and stencils - I'll hopefully even be learning how to hand sketch faces!  I'm sure I'll be posting some of my projects - if they come out ok!!??!!  This will be all new stuff for me and I'm looking forward to stretching my artistic talents!

And then I'm on vacation for a week - right through Labor Day Weekend - so I get an extra day off!  What's up for your weekend?
