Happy Checkmate and a Jungle Party

Today I have a simple card to share that I made using a Studio 490/Wendy Vecchi stencil - Checkmate, and sentiments from the Wet Paint set by PTI.

First I sponged  a portion of the stencil using two inks - Archival Hydrangea and Dandelion.  I stamped the sentiments in Hydrangea and then cut the panel with my Stitched Mat Rectangle die from Lil' Inker Designs.  I layered it to a white card base and called it done!  Although this would work for anyone's birthday - I think in these colors it would make a great card for a guy!

I'm linking this card to Cas(e) this Sketch.

Today we're going to my grandnephew, James', 3rd birthday party - the theme is jungle.  Here is the card I made for him using a computer printed picture of James riding an elephant with his dad, Nate.  The monkey is a clip art from Microsoft Word that I printed, fussy cut and layered over the picture with a foam dot.  The sentiment is computer generated. (and, of course, Stitched Mat Rectangle dies are involved as well!!)
