Today I'm sharing the project I made for Mona and Sue's Mixed Media Color Challenge - their challenge this week is to use purple, blue and green and to use at least 2 types of media.
I've been wanting to use my wonderful Prima Ruffle Doll Stamp I bought some time ago and decided to make her a stand up doll/card using the Tim Holtz Alterations Small Easel die. I stamped the doll on white sticky back canvas and layered it to a piece of grunge board to give it some firmness. I also die cut the easel out of grunge board.
Here's a side look at the easel holding her up. I stamped Wishing you a Happy Birthday on the easel.
For mediums I used: Copic markers for her skin and hair, I water colored her dress, headband and shoes with blueberry and raspberry gelatos, I added white Enamel Accents for the dots on her dress and brushed Sheer Sparkle Glitter Glaze over her shoes, headband and the purple part of her dress.
I stamped the sentiment on a piece of linen vellum, punched it out and layered it over the doll with foam tape. The flowers on her shoes and headband are from SU.
Here's another view of the easel back - I had to trim off one edge a bit so it didn't show from the front.
Kind of cute isn't she???!!!
Come and join us for the Mixed Media Color challenges! A new one is posted every other Friday. I've been learning so much about all the fun media out there we can 'play' with!
