Waltzingmouse July Release Day - with Playful Pinwheels!

Are you as exited as we are about Claire's Waltzingmouse Release this month??!!

Well - today is the day all of the sets we've been showing for the past 3 days, as well as a new set being revealed today,  are available for purchase - and we're having our traditional Design Team Blog Waltz to celebrate!

You should start the waltz at Claire's blog -   if you have come here from Claire's blog - you are in the right place as I am the 2nd spot on the waltz card!

Which is your favorite??  Heroines - Fairy Princess? -  North Shore? - My Island? -  or today's super fun set -designed by our very own Anya - Playful Pinwheels??

First up - I used one of the sweet little patterned pinwheels - (there are 5 little ones in this set, each with a different pattern) I inked it yellow to go with the fun sentiment 'Sunny Side Up'!  I love that there are solid sticks and outline sticks for the pinwheels - this light colored pinwheel needed the softer looking outlined stick and I colored the inside with a grey Copic.

Next I made a lovely quilt-like pattern stamping two of the small patterned pinwheels.  I stamped them on Guide Lines Grid Sheets paper from PTI, although they line up so easily just stamping them point to point - I really didn't need the grid paper!   I thought I'd use just black and white for a masculine card - simply adding clear rhinestones to the centers and on the banner sentiment. I think this would make a great anniversary card!
For my final  project - I just had to get a 4th of July card in using the large pinwheel!  There are 4 different patterns you can use for the arms.  I used the stars and the stripes - stamping the center piece again on a scrap, cutting it out and layering it over the base with foam tape.  There are 13 different sentiments to go with the pinwheels -  I used Celebrate for this one and cut it with a Pennant Banner die curling it a bit around my finger and adhering it with foam tape..  I used the Mojo Monday Sketch for the design of my card.
You can see from the side view - how I popped up the center part.
I'm also entering this in the Twisted Tuesday Challenge - to make a refreshing creation (the wind spinning the pinwheel!) and the twist is to use red.

Now - off you go to the next stop on the blog waltz -  the ever talented Laurie.

Remember to leave comments all along the way -  one lucky commenter will be chosen from one of the Design Teams blogs to win a stamp set of choice! You have until July 4th 6:59 am EST to leave your comments.  The winner will be posted on Claire's blog on July 6th!
