WMS October Release Design Team Blog Waltz

Welcome to the Waltzingmouse October Release Design Team Blog Waltz! You'll want to start the waltz at Claire's blog to be sure you don't miss anything!

If you came here from Lisa's blog then you are in the right place!

I made another 'set' for my post today - a Christmas card and a coordinating gift package. I used stamps from 4 of the new sets for my projects. Big Bloom - Poinsettia, Compliments of the Season, Holiday Labels No. 14 and Text It.
I stamped the poinsettia twice on vintage cream card stock, embossed it in gold, then sponged it. I cut out the inside portion and layered it over the full stamping with foam dimensionals. I drew the framing around the card with a brown Micron 01 fine tip pen. Then I added the strip of lace and sticky half gold pearls to the center and the snowflakes. The bar under the sentiment is from Holiday Labels No. 14
Here is a picture of how I stamped the sentiment, lining up section below section of stamping. It's so easy to do with clear stamps!
And here's a pic of how I sponged the edges using my blending tool and nonstick craft sheet by Inkssentials/Ranger. You roll in from the nonstick craft sheet onto the card stock and just keep applying the ink with a circular motion. I made my gift container from an empty Laughing Cow Cheese Box - you can see a little more detail on how I did this on my previous blog post here. The snowflakes and sentiment are from Compliments of the Season.

Here's the treat I put inside my container - caramel Dove candies! Yummy, yum! I also lined the inside with some designer paper just to give it that finished look!

Now off you waltz to see my oh so talented, fellow DT member, Anya's blog!
Don't forget to leave comments as you waltz along - two commenters will win a WMS stamp set - one from Claire's blog and one from comments left on a Design Team members blog - which one? We don't know! You have until 11:59 PM EST on 10/9 to leave your comments!
Be sure to go shopping at the Waltzingmouse Store too!

I've entered this project in the Moxie Fab World Christmas Card Challenge as well as the Moxie Fab World Gift Box challenge.
