I didn't have any narrow silk ribbon like she used - so I tried it with the more rustic/homespun saddle stitched ribbon. She used a hot glue gun to adhere her ribbon but I just covered a white card stock circle with Scor Tape, twisted the ribbon and pushed it against the Scor Tape as I laid it down in a swirl starting at the center.
My center orange piece wasn't twisted quite tight enough but I'm happy with how it came out for my first try!
I embossed my Fabriano note card with a long rectangle Nestability and stamped my sentiment right on the card. I adhered the flower to the card with more Scor Tape to be sure it held on!
My sentiment is from Fancy Phrases by Waltzingmouse Stamps
It'll be fun to see how different ribbons look using this technique!

ReplyDeleteIt is amazing, isn't it, how much the look changes with the change of ribbon, yet it is just as appealing in it's own way as the elegant silk! Also love it that you two-toned it in what looks like Gator colors on my monitor, LOL!
