A fun Ways to Use It Challenge this week over on Split Coast - to put something at an angle on your card. It can really add a visual punch to your card!
I angled my framing panel behind my image as well as the twine tied around the card.
My stamp is from a just released group of weed stamps by Rubbernecker This one is #497-14. There's also a new set of pretty florals. If you're into gardens and the outdoors - be sure to check them out!
I stamped the weed once in Juniper ink, then overstamped it slightly off the first stamping in Bottle ink so it looks like it's shadowed. A simple CAS design today!
Stamps: Rubbernecker Weed #497-14
Paper: vintage cream - PTI, Handsome Hunter- SU, DP Basic grey/archaic
Ink: Adirondack Bottle & Juniper
Accessories: square nestability, cuttlebug, distresser, twine & vintage button - PTI, foam dimensionals
My second card was made for the Inspiration Challenge on Split Coast today.
The challenge was to make a card inspired by your home state or town. I used some pictures I took from Memorial Day 2008 in my town of Saugus. One picture from the parade and one of tha planter I had on my front yard.
I thought this sentiment was just perfect for my home town card today. It's from a newly released set by Waltzingmouse Stamps called Free Spirit Sentiments.
Have a great weekend everyone! Kent and I are off to the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA to see the special exhibit there on the Mayan's and then off to a fun dinner at The Black Lobster with our church fellowship group.
And check this out! I'm teaching at Stamping Around this Saturday 4/17 in North Hampton, NH - hope to see you there! Hop over to sign up for a spot!
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps - Free Spirit Sentiments
Paper: white - PTI, Blue Bayou - SU, DP - Amuse
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: sticky rhinestones - Michaels, photos, computer, color printer, scalloped square nestabilities, foam dimensionals, zutter corner rounder
