Happy Tuesday everyone! Do you want to see some beautiful and fun new stamp sets! Well - I know you do - me too! How about these?~
Kristin, owner and designer of Artful INKables has just released 4 terrific new stamp sets for the fall. The Ink Girls (Design Team!) have each been assigned certain sets each day to create projects to inspire you.
Today it's me, Terri and Kristin herself and we are showing you Butterfly Blessings. Check out the end of my post to see how you can get a 10% discount when you order!
I made this card for the color challenge on Split Coast. Today we had to use Baja Breeze, very Vanilla and Kiwi Kiss. I also used Lauren Meaders Saturday Sketch. This is a 5.5 x 5.5 card.
Paper: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss: SU, Vintage Cream: PTI, DP: SU Urban Garden
Ink: Onyx Black Versafine
Accessories: Fiskars scallop punch, foam dimensionals, corner rounder, circle nestabilities, primas, brad, piercing tool and pad, Prismacolor markers, circle punches, dew drop, leaf punch: Martha Steward
I love this butterfly so much - I made another card using it! This card is for the weekly Double Dare Challenge I do with several Split Coast Friends. Itsapassion (Anne) was our hostess this week and she sent us a white doily and this pretty designer paper. Her challenge to us was to use these items somewhere on our card.
So look at this gorgeous butterfly stamp! Isn't it a beauty - I love how it's wings look like leaves don't you?
I sewed the DP to a sage shadow panel and attached that to the cream card. I sponged the doily with Groovy Guava. I colored the butterfly stamp with my Prismacolor markers - cut it out - added wire antennae and attached it to the sage circle with foam dimensionals. Of course I had to add extra Martha Stewart punched butterflies and silver stickles for the shimmer!Fun supplies challenge Anne!
You can check out the other Double Dare cards here.

Julia both cards are AMAZING, I LOVE the color combination on the top one and the "doily" on the bottom one is a wonderful embellishment addition!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous ... I really love it in today's color challenge colors.
ReplyDeleteWOW, WOW, WOW! These are both beautiful cards but I especially like the second one...what a beautiful way to color that stamp! It looks like stained glass!! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteFABulous cards Julia! I really love the top one...so very gorgeous! The colors are magnificent!
ReplyDeleteI love your cards, Julia...the butterfly is gorgeous!!! You did a fabulous job with the stuff Anne sent...your DDC card is AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere do I begin? These creations are spectacular, Julia--worthy of being classified as works of art, rather then mere cards. I adore that sketch of Lauren's and how you interpreted it, too! These new sets are absolutely wonderful! I can verify that Artful Inkables stamps are superior in their quality! They truly are fantastic! You know me, I'm more prone to furry and fuzzy animals, more than flowers and elegant designs, so I really adore the 2 critters sets the most! All are stunning, however and I think I'll have to go on over and order some! :) tfs today, your always so inspiring and I hope your day is filled with joy! hugs!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Gorgeous cards with an amazing stamp set! Love your colour challenge card!
ReplyDeleteHi Julia! These are gorgeous cards!! I love them both :)

ReplyDeleteYour first card is so elegant and sophisticated. Love the flower and leaf embellishment too! Your sentiment is very clever and everhthing just flows. You second card is soft around the edges and the orange in contrast to the pink really makes the image bright! Cute butterflies. Love what you do with cards.
